Today is Saturday, February 18, 2023. Today we learn the obvious about “Fucker” Carlson’s unholy network, Fox News, when it was revealed that the extreme right-wing “infotainment” station operated with little regard for fact in the weeks and months following the 2020 presidential election. This information was released in newly released text messages and emails among the honchos at the station, in which top executives and the highest-profile “news” hosts chose not to disclose what they believed to be the truth of the election out of fear that the facts would alienate their fragile audience of reality shifters. This was made public today because of a $1.6 billion lawsuit filed by Dominion Voting Systems that strongly alleges that its reputation was shredded by the lies propagated by the damned station. Thus Fox News has been exposed like never before. Let’s hope that this purveyor of lies will finally be held accountable and that they be fined a whopping amount of money, thus crippling the abominable “news” network like never before. Anyone not brainwashed by the incessant fulminations of conspiracy theories and nonsense spewed by its high-priced hosts like Fucker Carlson, Sean Hannity, Laurie Ingraham, and others will intuitively know that the network has always been a dishonest one.
An analysis of the situation appears in an online piece by Oliver Darcy from CNN Business entitled “Analysis: Fox News has been exposed as a dishonest organization terrified of its own audience.”
The startling messages revealed today were contained in a stunning legal filing made public on Thursday as part of Dominion Voting Systems’ lawsuit against the network, showing the station’s executives and talk hosts privately trashing lies pushed by Dumpf and his satanic allies about the election being rigged. The only thing being rigged were Fox News’ audience with lies and more lies. The network decided to air the fibs anyway because executives and hosts were terrified that telling the truth would prompt their audience to tune out.
This feared outcome did pan out initially when the election denier in the White House went ballistic against Fox News after the election in the wake of the station calling the critical swing state of Arizona for now-president Joe Biden. Dumpf could not stand that Fox News rightfully declared Biden as the winner of the presidential contest, so he encouraged his brainwashed supporters to switch to Newsmax, a smaller right-wing talk channel that is even more extreme than Fox News, if that can be believed.
In the days and weeks after the presidential contest had been called, Fox News’ audience listened to Dumpf and rebelled against the channel. Poor Fox News – losing some of its viewers! The station shed a chunk of its audience, while Newsmax gained significant viewership. When this happened, Fox News executives and talk hosts were in panic. The Fox News president, Jay Wallace, described Newsmax’s surge as “troubling” and said the network needed to be “on war footing.” Even the chairman of the company, Rupert Murdoch, emailed Suzanne Scott, the Fox News chief executive, in which he told her that Newsmax needed to be “watched.” Murdoch went to write that he didn’t “want to antagonize Trump further.” He also stressed to Scott that “everything [is] at stake here.”
“The messages here underscore that the network did not live up to the basic journalistic principle that news organizations are supposed to deliver the news to viewers, without fear or favor.” Instead, the right-wing sounding board designed its coverage to appeal to its audience which was incessantly being lied to by Dumpf and his campaign surrogates.
Some of the troubling messages were exchanged by abominable hosts Carlson and Hannity in which both purveyors of lies were worried about what a competitor like Newsmax could do to Fox News. The hosts were so alarmed by Newsmax’s lies, they were enraged when their colleague, White House correspondent Jacqui Heinrich, tweeted a mere fact check of Dumpf’s election lies. Here Carlson told Hannity, “please get her fired. Seriously, What the fuck? I’m actually shocked. It needs to stop immediately, like tonight. It’s measurably hurting the company. The stock price is down. Not a joke.” Here the real fear behind Carlson’s desperate exchange is revealed: the company’s stock price was feared to nosedive because of Newsmax’s intrusion into the network’s prevailing dominance.
Since the story is still ongoing, one could hope that the plaintiff in this case, Dominion Voting Systems, would win its lawsuit against Fox News that would lead to the crippling of the “news” organization and possibly to its dissolution. Could this ever happen! Can you see Fucker Carlson out of a job sometime soon? The one main question remains: Will Fox News’ audience ever accept the fact that the network willfully lied to it after the 2020 election? Are they too far gone to ever change their deluded minds?
It’s hard to pivot from this serious story to seeing Jake Whitehall last night at the Beacon Theatre, at 7:30 p.m., but I’ll try. I was looking forward to this event for many months now, and the British comedian and star of the Netflix series Travels with My Father did not fail to deliver. I found the bearded jokester very endearing, hilarious, and animated. I was surprised to hear that Whitehall superbly wove the name of George Santos in a dissertation about his old boarding school and the famous people in British society who attended the school years ago. I think Whitehall’s set was over an hour; he richly got a standing ovation. Now it’s off to “The Boss,” on April 1. I see Bruce Springsteen for the first time on that date, with the venue being Madison Square Garden.
Have a good Sunday.
Stay safe and be well.

This is the only photo I could get of the star of yesterday’s show.
