Today is Thursday, August 17, 2023. Republicans are finally in a panic over the terrible, escalating legal woes of their monster of a frontrunner, Donald J. Dumpf, who has been in legal crosshairs for an unprecedented four times, as new polling reveals a major shift away from total support for the Orange Demon. This development appears in an online article for Raw Story by Travis Gettys entitled “GOP ‘quietly panicking’ over ‘devastating’ poll numbers on Trump crimes: Morning Joe.”
This statement about Republicans quietly panicking was made today by Morning Joe host Joe Scarborough who pointed to new poll numbers that few Americans believe he did nothing wrong. Yay, maybe the truth has finally reached the psyches of most Americans, finally. There can be no denying four fucking indictments here!
The new poll, by the Associated Press, shows 64 percent of registered Republicans saying they’re not going to support Frump next year. Scarborough said, “I actually saw people connected with Mitch McConnell and other Republicans tweeting that out, that this is devastating. That’s who the Republicans are moving towards putting up. He has a 33-percent approval rating, a favorable rating in that poll. The majority believe what he did was illegal, and there are so many polls that came out yesterday that are showing the same thing. Independents saying he should have been indicted, independents saying overwhelmingly that what he did was illegal.”
Polls found voters are most hostile to Frump for his actions in Georgia than the election inference case brought by special counsel Jack Smith, and even more voters believe he broke the law by hoarding classified documents at his Florida resort.
The polls also found 64 percent of Americans say they would not support Frump for a second term, while 54 percent say he threatened democracy itself, and Scarborough said very few people believe his actions were merely unethical.
Scarborough also said, “Only 15 percent of Americans, let’s underline this, agree with Donald Trump that he did nothing wrong.” He continued, “Only 15 percent of Americans agree with Donald Trump that he did nothing wrong in the classified documents case. Only 14 percent of Americans say he did nothing wrong in the hush-money case. Of course, that is by far, for good reason, the weakest case, but these numbers, it sure seems like they’re moving in one direction and the bad news for him is, the more people find out about these cases, the worse news it is for Donald Trump. “
These new polls sure seem to contradict the predictions uttered by the Orange Monster himself when he mused that the more indictments he faces, the higher his poll numbers go up. Not really, fucker ! The opposite is actually the case. Again, this is just another illustration of how delusional this guy truly is.
Another story going around Trumpworld is the financial woes of the former mayor of New York City, Rudy “Dripping Face” Giuliani, who is now struggling under overwhelming legal bills after defending his mob boss of a former president, as reported in ABCNY in an article entitled “Former NYC Mayor Rudy Giuliani struggling under massive legal bills after defending Trump.”
So it seems as the former mayor is facing legal jeopardy in Georgia as an indicted coconspirator of his employer, he is “staring down hundreds of thousands of dollars in legal bills and sanctions and numerous lawsuits in addition to the new criminal charges – related to his work for Donald Trump after the 2020 election.”
When he appeared in court on Monday, Giuliani admitted that he is effectively broke. He has responded to this money crunch by listing for sale his 3-bedroom Manhattan apartment for $6.5 million that he owns.
As for what some of those financial reckonings might be, Dripping Face faces nearly $90,000 in sanctions from a judge in a defamation case, a $20,000 monthly fee to a company to host his electronic records, $15,000 or more for a search for his records, and even a $57,000 judgement against his company for unpaid phone bills.
Giuliani’s financial situation is likely to become even more difficult to navigate in the coming days. He faces potentially perilous court decisions against him in two 2020 election defamation lawsuits as early as this week.
The former mayor’s lawyers admitted, “He is having financial difficulties.” They mentioned this fact in a filing this month in a civil defamation case brought by two Georgia election workers against him. It’s probably very likely that the decision will be in favor of those two election workers whose lives he destroyed with his despicable lies.
Another setback the bulldog consigliere is facing are disbarment proceedings in Washington and New York. His law license is already suspended – a situation his attorneys say leaves him further hampered from making money. Awww, poor Rudy; does anyone give a fucking whit that this execrable excuse of a man cannot make money in his late 70s? He should have retired years ago before hitching his ride to the Orange Mussolini. As it’s been pointed out innumerable times already, anyone caught in Frump’s web are stung to death and Giuliani is no exception. I have no compassion for this man and no one should feel sorry for him either. He knew what he was doing when he sowed lies about the 2020 election for a would-be fascist. He deserves everything he gets, even it means financial ruin. This is how we achieve accountability in this man’s situation.
And would you think that Donald Frump should pay Giuliani’s legal bills here. You got another thing coming if this cheap bastard would pay the bills of his former lawyer. Frump has a solid reputation of absconding on paying his bills. Why should he change his behavior in this one instance. Giuliani is just fucked! He can thank Frump for that!
Anyway, today was a big day: Elliot and I drove to Coney Island to ride the Cyclone (which used to be a summer ritual for us when I worked for the Department of Education before 2017 and stopped doing so for about five years), ride the Wonder Wheel, and finish with lunch at Nathan’s Famous on Surf Avenue. This is also one of the first times I became nauseous after riding the famous landmark of a roller coaster and am still out of sorts as I’m typing this blog. So you’ll forgive me if I retire to the bedroom. I haven’t eaten a thing after chomping down two frankfurters and French fries. Luckily, I didn’t lose my lunch in the car ride home. When I got home, I retreated to my bed to take a nap, a thing I rarely do. I have napped only during those times I’ve been unwell. So this time was no different. Because of this situation, I think I have to relinquish going back on the Cyclone any time after this date. Elliot has said the same thing: that this could be the last time he rides the rickety roller coaster.
Stay safe and be well.

Here’s the classic Cyclone sign taken after riding the wooden roller coaster.

This sign appears before you join the Wonder Wheel line. It’s the ideal of America, don’t you think?

This was taken in my car in the Wonder Wheel. Elliot decided to ride on the swinging cars. I decided not to do that. I was in a stationary car. No way was I going to ride with Elliot after riding the Cyclone.
