Coronavirus Diary

Today is Friday, February 16, 2024. Today the judge spoke! Judge Arthur Engoron ruled that former president Donald Duck, the Trump Organization, his former CFO, and his adult sons have to pay more than $350 million in penalties. In his 92-page ruling, the white-haired judge lacerated the repugnican frontrunner for his massive fraudulent practices, calling him out for his “complete lack of contrition and remorse that borders on pathological.” Just another hard-hitting portrait of the candidate’s true lack of moral compass. This scathing rebuke of Dump appears in an online AlterNet article by David Badash entitled ‘Borders on pathological’: Judge decimates Trump in fraud ruling.”

The section that contained Engoron’s appraisal of Dump’s lack of character was called “Refusal to Admit Error” which was almost literary in scope. Engoron cites English poet Alexander Pope for his line, ‘To err is human, to forgive is divine.’ Engoron stated in this section that “defendants apparently are of a different mind. After some four years of investigation and litigation, the only error (‘inadvertent,’ of course) that they acknowledge is the tripling of the size of the Trump Tower Penthouse, which cannot be gainsaid. They are accused only of inflating asset values to make more money. The documents prove this over and over,” Engoron write.

In this pointed section, Engoron writes, “This is a venial sin, not a mortal sin. Defendants did not commit murder or arson. They did not rob a bank at gunpoint. Donald Trump is not Bernard Madoff. Yet, defendants are incapable of admitting the error of their ways. Instead, they adopt a ‘See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil’ posture that the evidence belies.”

Engoron further writes that Dumpf had to be judicially restrained in this way because he was adjudicated to engage in the same conduct over and over if he were not restrained by the Court. That’s why Engoron decided to do just that today.

Engoron points out, “Indeed, Donald Trump testified that, even today, he does not believe the Trump Organization needed to make any changers based on the facts that came out during this trial.”

As further conditions of the ruling, Chump will have to pay millions in interest on that original settlement of nearly $355 million. He will be barred from serving as an officer or director of a New York corporation or other legal entities in the state for three years and cannot apply for loans from any financial institution registered in the state for three years for fraudulently inflating the values of his properties.

Even Chump’s two adult sons, Donald Jr. and Eric – who’ve essentially run the Trump Organization since 2017 – have been ordered to pay $4 million each for personal profits from the fraud and are barred from serving as executives in New York for two years. Two further Trump Org. executives are permanently banned from running finances for state businesses.

As everyone would expect, given Drumpf’s horrendous history of appealing everything, the former faux president vowed to appeal the decision. Before he could even come forward with the appeal, Dump and his codefendants will likely need to come up with the full judgment of $355 million, with potentially more in interest. The trial in this case has served as a precursor to the four criminal trials Drumpf is expected to face this year as he campaigns to regain the presidency.

After learning of this massive ruling against him, the malignantly narcissistic frontrunner for president in 2024 didn’t bother to comment on the sudden death of Russian activist and critic of dictator Vladimir Putin, Alexey Nalvany, in a Russian prison, the fat pig decided instead to complain what he thought were AI-generated images that depict him as being overweight. This sickening response from the hopefully bankrupt candidate for president appears online in a Raw Story article by Sky Palma entitled “Trump rants about photo that makes him look fat as judge hits with $355M in damages.”

The ridiculous response to the staggering ruling against him happened on his absurdly called Truth Social media platform where he complained about looking fat.

Dump posted an image of himself playing golf with a bulging stomach, alongside other pictures of him playing which he said were taken today. He fumed on Truth Social, “The Fake News used Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) to create the picture on the top left.”

He then went on to condemn those who would use AI to inflate his girth as “despicable.” He then indicated that “Fake News is all you get!” He doesn’t realize that he is fake news all the time! He is the primary driver of fake news in this country for so long that it’s pathetic.

In his ruling, Engoron slammed Trump for refusing to admit any wrongdoing, saying, “Their complete lack of contrition and remorse borders on pathological.” This will stick with the fat pig until the day he dies!

The other story I alluded to occurring today was word of the death of Putin’s most formidable opponent, Alexey Navalny. He spent at least a decade standing up to the Kremlin when it seemed impossible. He was jailed and released. He was poisoned and survived. Today word got out that he died in prison at the age of forty-seven.

Russian prison authorities have said that Navalny felt ill after returning from his daily walk, lost consciousness, and could not be revived. They have ascribed his death to a pulmonary embolism. But knowing that people routinely lie in Putin’s Russia, who knows what really happened to the charismatic foe of the Russian president.

The death of Navalny has led to people laying flowers in memory of his passing all over Russia. As his death remains a mystery right now, it was President Joe Biden who denounced Putin as the murderer of Nalvany. Contrast Biden’s forceful response to the death of Alexey Nalvany with that of Donald Duck who whined about how fat he looks. Who would you want running the country between the two of them? I would think the choice is vey clear here.

Have a good weekend. Let’s hope we don’t get more snow tomorrow.

Stay safe and be well.
