Today is Wednesday, February 21, 2024. I’m back to commenting on developing news after yesterday’s break. The one that’s getting a lot of airtime and the one that appears so infuriating because it involves an entire political party being deluded by a supposed whistleblower against the Bidens who has now been indicted by the FBI, serving to torpedo MAGA Trumpikans’ case against President Joe Biden and his son, Hunter. As a result of Alexander Smirnov’s indictment, Rep. Jamie Raskin of Maryland now says that these revelations “destroy” the Biden impeachment case. This announcement is covered online in an ABC News story entitled “Raskin says Smirnov revelations ‘destroy’ Biden impeachment case; GOP downplays.”

The informant, Smirnov (isn’t that the name of the world’s number one vodka in the world?), was once touted as a star witness by Trump repugnicans and is now charged last week for allegedly making false statements about Biden and his son Hunter, including a story about both men taking $5 million in bribes from Burisma, a Ukrainian energy company. New Justice Department court documents unveiled Tuesday allege Smirnov told investigators that Russian intelligence officials were involved passing the story.

Talking about this revelation about Smirnov, Raskin, the top Democrat on the House Oversight Committee, told ABC News Senior Justice Correspondent Pierre Thomas today, “I think the Smirnov revelations destroy the entire case.”

“Smirnov was the foundation of the whole thing,” Raskin continued. He added, “He was the one who came forward to say that Burisma had given Joe Biden $5 million, and that was just concocted in thin air.”

When confronted with the same allegations about his “star” witness, deplorable “Gym” Jordan, chairman of the House Judiciary Committee (what a joke!), doubled down on denying these facts about a new accusation against Smirnov, saying, it “doesn’t change the fundamental facts.” He doesn’t fucking say what those fundamental facts are and Thomas didn’t press him for an answer to that assertion, which he should have. What he said initially seemed like gibberish: “Well, all I’m saying is you got to ask the FBI about that. He may, in fact, have given false I don’t know. But what I do know is everything we knew ahead of time.” Here, again, he doesn’t expand on what he or his committee knew about the Bidens because the fact is that they knew nothing; it was all bullshit.

The other deplorable repugnican, James Comer, the Republican chairman of the Oversight Committee, also sought to downplay the impact the Smirnov allegations would have on the impeachment probe. In a statement last week, Comer said the “inquiry is not reliant” on Smirnov.

Comer then went on to expand on what the impeachment probe is reliant on: “It is based on a large record of evidence, including bank records and witness testimony, revealing that Joe Biden knew of and participated in his family’s business dealings.”

The party of Drumpf has alleged that President Biden was directly involved in and benefited from his family’s business dealings – accusations staunchly denied by the White House – though they have not found any evidence of a crime committed by the president.

Denouncing the “house of cards” repugnicans have built against Biden, Raskin said, “It was that foundation that the whole house of cards has been built on and the entire thing has collapsed.” He continued attacking those Putin allies, which now constitute the Republican Party, for this bullshit inquiry into the Bidens, saying, “But of course, we don’t even have to rely on Smirnov’s own words because there have been somewhere near a dozen witnesses who have completely repudiated and refuted these essential allegations.”

Armed with these facts, don’t you think the Putin branch of Congress, would stop their probe into trying to impeach the president. Hell no, they are not stopping which shows where their allegiances truly lie – definitely not to the American people or to their country, but to a Russian thug named Vladimir Putin who just had his political opponent, Alexey Navalny, murdered in prison a few days ago.

In another offshoot of today’s blockbuster announcement about the repugnicans’ now-disgraced “star” witness who was indicted by the FBI for making false statements, Mary Trump, niece to the Donald, made more wishful predictions about those two deplorables I just mentioned above, Reps. James Comer and Jim Jordan, who should be expelled from Congress, really, for their un-American views, over using this tainted testimony to sully President Joe Biden and his son Hunter as a basis for impeachment. She feels that both are in “deep shit” and could be investigated for peddling fictitious FBI witness testimony in their chimerical case against Biden. This prediction appears online in a Raw Story article by M.L. Nestel entitled ‘Deep trouble’: Mary Trump says Jim Jordan and James Comer could face ‘criminal charges.'”

Trump writes in her most recent Substack issue titled “LAWYER: Comer & Jordan in Deep Trouble,” saying, “It’s becoming increasingly clear that the sham impeachment of President Joe Biden was a sham from beginning to ignominious end, as it appears much of the information upon which it was based originated from the Kremlin.”

As you now know, Smirnov has since been charged with fabricating a multi-million-dollar bribery scheme and making false statements to the feds.

Mary Trump writes that she consulted with a lawyer friend and that person informed her that both Comer and Jordan are in “deep shit.”

Two scenarios were elucidated by New York State assistant attorney general Tristan Snell with these Putin assets concerning their ridiculous potential impeachment of the president, Trump states, is that either the GOP pols were “duped by Smirnov and the Kremlin – or they were in on it.” If it’s the latter, I think, then these two knuckleheads are truly in deep shit.

For Trump’s adult niece, she believes consequences ranging from “censure to criminal charges” are forthcoming.

She concludes, “I would say it’s hard to think of any other Republicans in Congress more deserving [ I agree!], but the truth is it would be extremely easy to come up with dozens of them.” To that, I definitely agree that many others need a good shellacking, especially that blonde idiot, Marjorie Taylor Greene.

And wouldn’t it be poetic justice if the two gang members in the party of Dump get themselves into hot water for bringing a shit case of impeachment against a most effective president – who is still underrated by everyone – and wind up either being censured or brought up on criminal charges instead? I say it would certainly be. I would also hope both are criminally charged instead of just being censured! As Trump stated in her column, they are most deserving of it.
