Coronavirus Diary

Today is February 22, 2024. In two days, the world will solemnly mark the second anniversary of the unprovoked Russian aggression in Ukraine and this country continues to have a Putin arm of Congress in bed with a murderer! Just witness the situation with the recent death of Putin’s most hated rival, Alexey Navalny, and this branch of Putin sympathizers not even recognizing the brave man’s death. How appalling! I’ve just heard now on the Alex Wagner show on MSNBC where Republicans are still not speaking up about Putin’s involvement in Navalny’s demise. It’s grotesque! And that bastard known as the Orange Cheeto had the temerity to compare himself to the dead Navalny very recently. That is grotesque beyond words! What has this bloated, white paragon of privilege done in the same fashion to even remotely touch the pinky of this courageous man who went back to Russia after being poisoned the first time by his opponent when he could have stayed in Germany? That’s when he was brought into custody and sentenced to prison for just opposing Putin for his autocratic policies in Russia. What the fuck has Herr Dumpf done except for whining so much to compare himself to Navalny?

In other news, the judge overseeing the $355 million civil fraud case has denied – denied – Donald Duck’s request to delay the judgment for a fucking month!

This great news appears online in a CNN article by Kara Scannell entitled “Judge rejects Trump’s request to delay finalizing the $355 million civil fraud order.”

In an email sent today to the dimwitted, brassy lawyers for Donald Duck, Judge Arthur Engoron informed them of his intentions. This is fantastic news for the rest of us yearning for some accountability, not so, for the Orange Cheeto defendant.

Once the judgment is officially entered, it will start the 30-day clock for Drumpf to file an appeal. During that period, Dump will need to put up cash or post bond to cover the $355 million and roughly $100 million in interest he was ordered to pay the state.

In the terrifying email for Donald Duck, Engoron flatly rejected Drumpf’s request for an additional 30 days, writing, “You have failed to explain, much less justify, any basis for a stay.”

The fiery judge said he would sign off on the New York attorney general’s office proposed judgment, saying Dumpf’s attorney didn’t tell him what was incorrect in the state’s papers or how his proposal would be different.

“The proposed judgment accurately reflects the spirit and letter of the February 16 Decision and Order,” Engoron wrote.

The Orange Cheeto’s sons were each ordered to pay back $4 million. Maybe that judgment represents what Don Jr. pays for his supply of the white stuff. It could measurably serve to hobble his cocaine-infused style.

In the judgment against Drumpf and others, the judge also ordered an independent monitor, who has been in place since 2022, to continue in that role for at least three years. The judge directed the monitor to recommend a person to serve as an independent compliance director for the Trump Organization.

As for the Navalny story, which is still ongoing, President Biden met with Navalny’s family in California and pledged to institute sanctions against Putin. God, could anyone just see if the Orange Cheeto were president at this fraught time, what would he have done in this situation? It beggars the imagination what he would have done if Navalny unfortunately died on his watch. The meeting between the relatives of Navalny and President Biden is covered in an online CNN article by Kevin Liptak and Michael Williams entitled “Biden meets with Navalny family in California, pledges sanctions against Putin.”

Today Biden met with the wife and daughter of the late Russian opposition leader Alexey Navalny, the White House said, as the president prepares to levy additional sanctions against Russia.

After the session, Biden said Russian President Vladimir Putin will be sanctioned.

Telling reporters of meeting the closest relatives of the slain political rival of Putin, Biden said, “I had the honor of meeting with his wife and daughter and, to state the obvious, he was a man of incredible courage.” Without flinching, Biden added, “We’re gonna be announcing sanctions against Putin, who is responsible for his death, tomorrow.”

Biden relayed that Navalny’s wife would “continue the fight” after having the meeting with her.

“We’re not letting up,” Biden said.

The meeting occurred in California, where Biden is traveling for political fundraisers. Dasha Navalnaya, Navalny’s daughter, is a student at Stanford University.

Navalny’s death, announced last Friday by the Russian prison service, spurred international outrage at Putin. The 47-year-old opponent is the latest in a series of Putin critics to die under mysterious circumstances.

The President has also sharply criticized the response to Navalny’s death from his likely – unfortunately – 2024 rival, former faux president Donald Duck. In his first public comment on Navalny’s death, Dump posted a message to social media that bizarrely compared his own legal troubles – which are emblematic of his own fucking doing, no “witch hunt” here at all – to what Navalny faced. The Orange Cheeto did not mention Putin in his message and has recently said he would encourage this enemy of America to have its own way with NATO member countries that did not uphold funding obligations.

During a Wednesday fundraiser of Dump’s comments, Biden laced into the freaking idiot. “He’s comparing himself to Navalny and saying that because our country’s become a communist country, he was persecuted, just like Navalny was persecuted.”

At the same fundraiser, Biden referred to Putin as a “crazy SOB.” Could Drumpf ever say this about his strong man chum? Never!

As some background material on the most famous opposition leader to Vladimir Putin, he was Russia’s highest-profile opponent who spent years criticizing Putin at great personal risk.

In 2020, Navalny was poisoned with Novichok, a Soviet-era nerve agent. He spent months in Germany recovering from the poisoning before retuning to Russia in 2021. He was immediately arrested upon arriving back in Russia.

Navalny was serving a 19-year prison sentence after being found guilty in August of creating an extremist community, financing extremist activists, and various other crimes. All bogus, of course! He was already serving sentences of 11-and-a-half years in a maximum security facility on fraud and other charges he denied.

He spent his final weeks at the IK-3 penal colony on Kharp, known as “Polar Wolf,” where he described “freezing” conditions prior to his death.

Navalny’s mother, Lyudmila Navalnaya, said she saw her son’s body in a Siberian morgue yesterday.

A medical report attributed the cause of 47-year-old Navalny’s death to natural causes. Sure! And Donald Duck is a very principled, moral character! If you believe that report from a Russian medical office, then you can buy a bridge I have to offer you in Manhattan!

I have yet to watch that Navalny documentary that I recommended, by the way.

It’s getting late here, but another fucking court decision, this time in the Cotton State, Alabama, will just boost Biden’s chances of being reelected. This time, a crazy Alabama Supreme Court ruled last week that frozen embryos are considered human beings and those who destroy them can be held liable for wrongful death. What a sickening decision, in my opinion, and I strongly believe this politically motivated ruling will galvanize more and more women to strike back at Republicans at the polls in November.

People struggling to have children will definitely leave the state because of this decision. As a result of this bone-headed ruling, fertility clinics throughout the state began pausing in vitro fertilization (IVF) treatments out of fear of legal prosecution. This decision will definitely impact extremist Republicans in this crucial election year. This has succeeded in creating confusion and chaos in the fertility industry in Alabama and will skew the election toward Biden, in my opinion. The National Women’s Law Center said this decision could have a chilling effect on access to health care in the state. Who knows what state is next?

Stay safe and be well.
