Today is Sunday, March 31, 2024. It is also the Christian holiday of Easter which marks the Resurrection of Jesus three days after his death by crucifixion. Googling the term, I learned that the English term for the holiday is derived from the Saxon spring festival Eostre. I hope everyone had a good holiday here; the weather sure cooperated this time, as temps got into the low 60s. The same can’t be said for the beginning of this week: four days of rain are forecasted – from Monday until Thursday. Let’s hope this is not an ironclad forecast.

Now that we dispensed with the Easter niceties, we can go to more lunacy committed by the repugnican candidate for president in 2024. The latest outrage committed by Donald Duck is a video that he posted on Friday that featured an image of President Joe Biden tied up in the back of a pickup truck. This most recent offensive stunt by Drumpf executed on the heels of Easter is covered in an online CNN article written by Kate Sullivan and Shania Shelton entitled “Trump posts video that shows image of Biden tied up in the back of a truck.”

Drumpf himself indicated that the post was filmed on Long Island last Thursday, when he was gratuitously attending the wake of NYPD officer Jonathan Diller, who was killed during a traffic stop last week. The video shows two trucks with flags and decals expressing support for the Orange Hemorrhoid; the image of Biden was on the back of the second truck.

A spokesperson for the Dump campaign, Steven Cheung, who I’ve referenced before, had the temerity to say that “Democrats and crazed lunatics have not only called for despicable violence against President Trump and his family, they are actually weaponizing the justice system against him.” Is this guy for real? He shares the same defense mechanism of projection that is constantly used by his deranged boss. Here you use irony to paint the opposition party as using the exact same techniques that you yourself are actually using. It’s totally absurd.

The Biden camp responded immediately to this vile stunt, with Michael Tyler, a Biden campaign spokesman, telling CNN in a statement, “This image from Donald Trump is the type of crap you post when you’re calling for a ‘bloodbath’ or when you tell the Proud Boys to ‘stand back and stand by.’ Trump is regularly inciting political violence and it’s time people take him seriously – just ask the Capitol Police officers who were attacked protecting our democracy on January 6.”

The video used here marks another instance of Dump using dark and violent imagery in his campaign messaging, as his penchant for inflammatory rhetoric appears to be buoying his White House bid.

The Orange Menace warned earlier this month that if he were to lose the 2024 election, it would spur on a “bloodbath” for the U.S. auto industry and the country. Even though it wasn’t very clear that he was signaling a bloodbath for the auto industry in his comments.

In December, the former president said that migrants are “poisoning the blood” of the United States and quoted his Russian pal, Vladimir Putin, to attack Biden as a “threat to democracy.”

His comments now conform to a pattern of expressing fondness for foreign leaders who use antidemocratic measures to maintain power.

In another instance, Herr Drumpf used the word “vermin” to describe his political rivals at a campaign rally in New Hampshire in November, drawing broad condemnation, including from Biden, who likened his comments to “language you heard in Nazi Germany.”

Who can forget the moment when Drumpf shouted to the crowd: “We will root out the communists, Marxists, fascists, and the radical left thugs that live like vermin within the confines of our country.” He warned that the “real threat is not from the radical right. The real threat is from the radical left, and it’s growing every day.”

Enough said that this is a lunatic running for the highest office in the land.

More lunacy was in evidence today as that laser-focused blonde bimbo in Congress, Marjorie Taylor Greene (MTG), blasted Joe Biden for marking March 31, 2024, as Transgender Day of Visibility, which coincided, unfortunately, with Easter this year. This got Trump and his stupid allies, including MTG, seeing murder and calling out Biden for his “years-long assault on the Christian faith.” This irrational criticism of the president is found in an online WGTC article by Apeksha Bagchi entitled ‘Learn how to read’: Why are Donald Trump and Republicans criticizing Joe Biden for Easter and does it make sense?”

Desperation can cause once-rational people (but who ever said either Drumpf or Greene were ever rational) to do some stupid things – like holding Biden responsible for just marking this event, even though it’s been celebrated, according to the article, on this date ever since it began in 2009. On the other hand, Easter Sunday has taken place on the date in question for the first time since 2013 and will not fall on the same date until 2086. So if these ugly repugnicans just consulted a calendar, they would have understood this phenomenon as being just a coincidence and not a dark design on the part of President Joe Biden. They didn’t bother to use a rational explanation for this event occurring on Easter Sunday, so they blindly lashed out on social media screaming how the president has effectively dethroned Easter to concentrate on Transgender Awareness Day.

The idiot known as MTG posted on X this inanity: “Biden and the Democrats decided Easter – the Holy Day of our Savior’s Resurrection [what the fuck does this trash blonde know about Christianity? I wonder] – as transgender day of visibility. There is no length Biden and the Democrats won’t go to mock your faith, and to thumb his nose at God.” Can you believe this bullshit that she just posted? Not only does it demonstrate her total stupidity, it also demonstrated her un-Christian transphobia!!

Another jerk, the failed presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswarmy, also posted on his X account this wrong information about Biden declaring March 31 as the date to celebrate trans awareness. He stupidly asserted: “Joe Biden just proclaimed that “Transgender Visibility Day” is on Sunday, March 31st. I wonder how he came up with that date.” Again, this big mouth didn’t check exactly when the event is actually celebrated because if he had, he would have understood it was not launched on this date by President Biden at all.

This disinformation thrown out on the holiest day of the Christian calendar toward a vulnerable population by assholes on the far right, which includes the Bible-selling former president, is just appalling and does not persuade anyone with functioning brain cells that their argument is even plausible. How dare they show their un-Christian attitudes on such a holy day? It’s a total distraction from their fascistic agenda and they will be rudely jolted on November 5.
