Today is Wednesday, April 17, 2024. I just heard tonight on the Lawrence O’Donnell show The Last Word that thug defendant Donald Fucking Trump has just violated his gag order by the judge overseeing his criminal case in New York by reposting a tweet from Fox “Un-News” host Jesse Watters calling the jury “Activist Liberals and liars.” I’m hoping that the judge will send his sorry ass to jail for 30 days after this flagrant violation of the gag order! He decided to do this cowardly act when the case is out for recess on Wednesday. Let’s see what type of censor Dump receives by Merchan tomorrow when the trial resumes. O’Donnell now says that sending his sorry ass to jail is not practical since this bastard has Secret Service protection indefinitely. Former persecutor Andrew Weissmann is saying that this option could work, even with his Secret Service detail. He’s also saying that fines would be imposed. That would be more practical, it seems. Weissmann is now saying that Judge Juan Merchan would probably take up this blatant violation of his gag order the first thing tomorrow morning as jury selection continues.

In another news story that just demonstrates the utter stupidity of the present Republican Party, the Senate just killed articles of impeachment against Homeland Security secretary Alejandro Mayorkas today, ending the historic trial before it could begin in earnest as the Democratic majority brushed aside GOP efforts to prolong the dead-end process. This stunning development appears online in a CNN article by Gregory Krieg, Ted Barrett, Annie Grayer, Clare Foran, and Morgan Rimmer entitled “Senate kills the articles of impeachment against Alejandro Mayorkas.”

The stupid House Republicans, or “Reputins,” as I now call them, voted superfluously on February 13 on their second attempt after failing to get the necessary votes. The Biden appointee became the first Cabinet secretary to be impeached in nearly 150 years, so this shows how ridiculous these lawmakers were in even trying to impeach the Homeland Security secretary for no legitimate reason at all. This is all tied with the Reputin trope concerning the Biden’s administration’s handling of the southern border ahead of the general election. The merits of the case they hoped to bring to the Senate were widely seen as lacking substance and, to some, a distraction from other election-year messaging. Mayorkas is the first Latino and immigrant to hold the job, and I wonder if this wasn’t some unconscious anti-immigrant measure on the part of these bigoted Reputins to impeach the Homeland Security secretary. Rep. Daniel Goldman (D-NY) has just called the measure by his Reputin colleagues as “shameful, shameful” and lacked any merit whatsoever. He said this impeachment should never have been legitimized.

Democrats, accurately, slammed the impeachment as a political stunt, saying that Reputins had no valid basis for the move and that policy disagreements were not a justification for the rarely used constitutional impeachment of a Cabinet official.

Mayorkas himself pushed back against criticism of his leadership, and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has called the impeachment effort against him a baseless political attack. It definitely was!

The White House, for its part, had worked to flip the script, citing Reputins blocking a bipartisan border deal in the Senate as evidence that the party isn’t serious about border security. The deal faced a torrent of attacks from the former president and top House Reputins. Since Dump was against the deal, Reputins blindly followed his lead and torpedoed it, showing how unserious they were about fixing the issue at the border. I truly hope Americans are aware of how despicable these Reputins truly are and decide to send them a clear message this coming November.

The DHS and White House praised Senate Democrats for killing the impeachment proceedings.

Ian Sams, White House spokesperson for oversight and investigations, said, “President Biden and Secretary Mayorkas will continue doing their jobs to keep America safe and pursue actual solutions at the border, and Congressional Republicans should join them, instead of wasting time on baseless political stunts while killing real bipartisan border security reforms.”

A spokesperson for DHS, Mia Ehrenberg, said, “It’s time for Congressional Republicans to support the Department’s vital mission instead of wasting time playing political games and standing in the way of commonsense, bipartisan border reforms.”

Will these ignorant Reputins listen to these criticisms? I strongly doubt that since they excel in showboating measures that mean absolutely nothing to the American people!

Can’t wait to see how Dump will be chastised by Judge Juan Merchan tomorrow!
