Today is Friday, May 17, 2024. Yesterday the House Oversight Committee devolved into a circus when the Georgie nonpeach called Marjorie Taylor Greene got into a hissy fit with Democratic Rep. Jasmine Crockett of Texas over her eyelashes. The committee was meeting for the express reason for holding Attorney General Merrick Garland in contempt for his supposed refusal to turn over audio recordings of President Joe Biden’s interview with special counsel Robert Hur. This whole event is a sham and it’s only been orchestrated by Donald Dump’s lapdogs, the entire Republican Party.

This outrageous comedy show not being broadcast from a comedy club like the Gotham Comedy Club here in New York but instead being broadcast from our halls of Congress is reported in a CNN article by Annie Grayer entitled “House committee meeting devolves into chaos as Greene and Ocasio-Cortez trade barbs.” This ridiculous exchange between Greene and her far saner Democratic colleague just illustrates how broken the repugnican party is under Dump.

The incident occurred when trash mouth Greene commented on Democratic Rep. Jasmine Crockett’s appearance, which is a ploy used by her idol, Orange Cancer Dump, who mocks his political rivals all the damn time.

Always trying to help her Supreme Leader, Greene began the proceedings by asking Democrats on the committee if any of them employ the daughter of Judge Juan Merchan, who is overseeing the criminal trial of the insurrectionist. As repugnicans are falling over themselves in currying favor with Dump, they have gone after Merchan’s daughter, who has nothing whatsoever to do with the trial, in a futile attempt to undermine the case.

Crockett, who is a woman of color, and is a freshman lawmaker from Texas, asked Greene, “Do you know what we’re here for?” A very innocuous question, I would dare say. Then the blonde bimbo fired back in great Trumpian fashion: “I don’t think you know what you’re here for . . . I think your fake eyelashes are messing up what you’re reading.” This is juvenile talk coming from a supposed congresswoman who I think never graduated from college, and it shows.

Ocasio-Cortez immediately jumped in to get Greene’s words taken down.

The New York firebrand then attacked Greene, saying, “That is absolutely unacceptable. How dare you attack the physical appearance of another person.” This is where Greene shot back, “Are your feelings hurt?” But Ocasio-Cortez got her groove on, retorting, “Oh, girl. Baby girl. Don’t even play.”

The ineffectual House Oversight Committee Chair, James Comer, did nothing to stop Greene’s abusive tirade against Crockett, but he eventually asked her if she would strike her words. She did agree to take her words down, but would not apologize. Isn’t this the kind of behavior you love having to observe from your representatives in Congress? I think this is quite outrageous and humiliating for everyone.

Here the majority of repugnicans voted to allow Greene to continue speaking, which was clearly the wrong decision. Even her own brunette colleague in chaos, Lauren Boebert joined Democrats in voting to have Greene silenced for the remainder of the markup.

The panel sadly ultimately voted to advance contempt proceedings against the attorney general. Again, a wasted effort, in my opinion.

Finally, Crockett did not shy away from making a dig at her infantile blonde colleague, saying, “I’m just curious. Just to better understand your ruling. If someone on this committee then starts talking about somebody’s bleach blonde bad built butch body, that would not be engaging in personalities, correct?” Take that, Jewish-laser Greene! I hope you’re not hurt by Crockett’s comment here either.

In another CNN article, Crockett called Greene’s attack on her as “racist” following the tense situation in the committee room last evening. Speaking to reporters today about the incident, Crockett said, “That’s all it is, it is racism. And she decided that she was going to be that person out loud and out front on yesterday. The difference is I just wasn’t going to take it laying down.” She added, “She is racist. I mean, I don’t have any questions about that.”

The stupid congresswoman who is all talk and no action had the temerity to post more putdowns of her Democratic colleagues on Elon Musk’s X platform, saying, “AOC isn’t intelligent. Jasmine Crockett has fake eyelashes. These aren’t attacks on personalities. These are just facts.” Duh, are you for real, Miss?

In this second article, Crockett effectively takes down Greene’s confrontational methods of lawmaking, saying, “She’s lacking any ability to actually engage in actual discourse, she doesn’t know her job. She doesn’t know the issues that we’re dealing with when we’re in committee. So instead, she does what most of MAGA does which they seek to insult and make personal attacks. She needs to get a staff that can get her up to speed so that she can actually talk about something of substance and actually represent her district.” Well said, Ms. Crockett. Too bad you couldn’t call Greene a bitch and hold it at that!
