Today is Monday, September 16, 2024. I didn’t mention the latest “assassination” attempt on the life of presidential repugnican candidate Donald J. Duck yesterday since the news was just breaking and I, frankly, am tired of hearing about this already. The first attempt on Duck’s life occurred in Butler, Pennsylvania, on July 13, and there are still many unanswered questions pertaining to that first unsuccessful incident. Here the young would-be assassin was killed by Secret service agents.

However, in yesterday’s second attempt, a suspect was taken into custody and the repugnant candidate wasn’t even grazed this time. With the alarming uptick in assassination attempts during a contentious political season as this one, one must ask: Why is there such a climate of violence now that hasn’t ever been seen before ? Yes, there have always been assassinations, regrettably, of politicians, presidents, even. But this time the atmosphere seems supercharged with the taint of violence, and I blame, primarily, one person for creating this kind of toxic atmosphere, and that person is Donald Duck himself. What’s that Biblical quotation: “He who sows violence begets violence!” or something like it. And this Orange Turd certainly is a sower of political violence, so why would anyone shake his or her head when someone tries to silence him forever? Dump is the king of divisiveness and his running mate, JD Vance, of Ohio, is not any better.

Anyway, the background of the second suspect is reviewed in a CNN online article by Evan Perez, Holmes Lybrand, Michael Williams, and Devan Cole entitled “Suspect in assassination attempt of Trump charged, may have been lying in wait for nearly 12 hours.”

The suspect’s name has been revealed to be Ryan Wesley Routh, who tried to kill Trump at his golf club in Palm Beach, Florida, on Sunday. He is 58 years old and he’s been charged with possession of a firearm while a convicted felon (oh, he shares something with the former president here!) and possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number during an initial appearance in federal court this morning. The investigation into Sunday’s apparent attempt on Dump’s life is continuing, and additional charges could be brought, law enforcement officials familiar with the matter told CNN.

A detention hearing has been set for September 23, and the arraignment is set for September 30. Routh will be held in jail while he awaits trial.

The “incident” happened about 1:30 p.m. ET Sunday after a Secret Service agent noticed the barrel of a rifle poking from the fence between the 5th and 6th hole of Trump International Golf Club West Palm Beach, Florida, in a tree line near a heavily traveled road.

The agent fired at the gunman, who officials said was within 500 yards of Drumpf. No shots were fired by Routh, who later fled in a car. The Secret Service agent later said Routh had no line of sight on the former president.

What we know about this alleged assassin is very little. We do know that Routh portrayed himself as a staunch supporter of Ukraine who said he supported the would-be autocrat in 2016 but later became disillusioned with the former president. Who wouldn’t be? Now he’s been frequently critical of Dump quite recently. He’s also a Republican. Which is good for the Harris/Walz campaign. But this fact has not stopped Dump and his MAGAts from blaming Biden and Harris for the apparent attempt on his life, saying, “Their rhetoric is causing me to be shot at,” not once reflecting on his own disgusting penchant for inciting violence wherever he goes. Dump had the balls to say on Fox Infotainment that “He [Routh] believed the rhetoric of Biden and Harris, and he acted on it.”

Let’s not forget that Dump frequently uses inflammatory rhetoric when attacking his political rivals, judges overseeing his criminal cases, prosecutors who have brought charges against him, undocumented immigrants, people who don’t support his ungodly campaign, and others.

If this monster were to be reelected, he has vowed retribution for his enemies and has repeatedly suggested he would weaponize the justice system to prosecute his political opponents. Drumpf also recently threatened prosecution and “long-term prison sentences” for election officials and political operatives, who he suggested could cheat in the 2024 election. This is the height of absurdity, since we know already who the one person who would cheat in the upcoming election, and that name rhymes with “sump.”

What I’m fuming more about is that now we have that bastard Vance on tape admitting to Dana Bash on CNN in a contentious interview the other day that he “created” the story about Haitians down in Springfield, Ohio, eating people’s pets in order to bring the subject of immigration into the media discussion. The fucking vice presidential candidate just admitted that he lied on network television and this should be the major story, not what some disillusioned Trump supporter tried to do yesterday. And he didn’t even fire a shot!
