Today is Thursday, September 19, 2024. As you know, I was away last night meeting up with my newfound cousins – at least in the last two years or so – in Manhattan. We were delighted that we were invited up to their sanctuary on East 58th Street, off First Avenue. We brought two bouquets of flowers with us and we got to their 20th-floor apartment around 6. We were ushered into a magnificent apartment overlooking some of New York’s tallest skyscrapers. We also met with their aging dog, Joey. And then we all sat in the living room, bedecked with Persian and Indian rugs. Here we shared stories of Australia with them over some cheese and crackers. By 6:50 or so, we all got up to walk to our restaurant destination: Jean Claude II, located on 59th Street and 1st Avenue, literally around the block from “Rivka” and “Dillon”‘s 48-story apartment dwelling called the Sovereign.

Our maitre d’ ushered us to a very nice table in the front that was half inside and outside the restaurant. For a French restaurant, the prices were not as steep as I had expected. Rivka and I both ordered the seared salmon, with spinach and oyster mushrooms, while I had the French onion soup that Dillon praised very highly. Elliot ordered the roasted organic chicken, with basil potato puree and wild mushrooms. For dessert, we all shared a chocolate mousse concoction and coffee. Actually, Rivka ordered tea instead.

We traveled to Manhattan via the E train and alighted the train at 53rd Street, walking several blocks to Rivka and Dillon. The weather appeared cloudy the whole time, but it never rained, which was good. Going back, we walked to the 59th Street station and waited for an R train to take us to Queens Plaza, where we transferred to an E train to Forest Hills.

The newest blowup in the news to rock MAGA world and, possibly, Donald Duck’s whole rotten campaign is the scandal erupting out of North Carolina involving the worst candidate for governor of the state, controversial and socially conservative Mark Robinson, who is now being exposed as the same person making a series of inflammatory comments on a pornography website’s message board more than a decade ago. This story just broke on KFile and an online CNN article covering this shameful episode in Robinson’s past has been written by Andrew Kacyzynski and Em Steck entitled ‘I’m a black NAZI!’: NC GOP nominee for governor made dozens of disturbing comments on porn forum.”

Despite a recent history of spewing vile antitransgender rhetoric, Robinson has now admitted watching and enjoying transgender pornography. A review of archived messages has found that he referred to himself as a “perv.” Oh my, the worst this scandal has revealed of this Dump-backed candidate for governor in the Tar Heel State is that Robinson is a terrible hypocrite if he rails against such a vulnerable population as the transgender community and has been discovered to be a fan of such pornography. These comments, which Robinson denies making, predate his entry into politics and current stint as North Carolina’s lieutenant governor. The highly salacious remarks were made under the username “minisoldr,” which is a moniker Robinson used frequently online.

One doesn’t even have to accept these new charges against this vile candidate running for governor right now. The man publicly has come out against transgender rights and has advocated for a complete abortion ban without exceptions. Even adhering to these horrible extreme positions which will alienate him from women en masse, he later expressed regret in 2022 for paying for his now-wife to have an abortion in the 1980s. Again, such hypocrisy from a radical far-right MAGAt, even though he is Black. While campaigning for governor, Robinson now supports a so-called “heartbeat” bill that would ban abortion when a heartbeat is detected – approximately six weeks – with exceptions for rape, incest, and health of the mother. Here the “perv” candidate has slightly moderated his hard stance on the issue – definitely not winning any fans, I’m sure of that.

This paragon of MAGA extremism even has maligned the image of slain civil rights leader Martin Luther King, attacking him in such intense terms that a user accused him of being a white supremacist. Again, a person only Donald Fuck could love!

In writing about the dedication of the memorial to King in Washington, D.C., not too long ago by then-President Barack Obama, Robinson wrote “get that fucking commie bastard off the National Mall.” Here is a man quite deranged like his Orange Turd of a frontrunner for president.

Further distancing himself from the civil rights icon, Robinson responded, “I’m not in the KKK. They don’t let blacks join. If I was in the KKK, I would have called him Martin Lucifer Koon.” Boy, is this outrageous coming from a candidate for governor of a large state and who himself is Black. This guy needs to see a therapist pronto.

Thank God Robinson is facing an uphill battle in the race for governor against his Democratic opponent, Josh Stein, the state’s attorney general.

Here are more reasons to soundly reject this candidate come November 5: his mocking of school shooting survivors (this is totally bizarre), his past support for total abortion bans without exceptions for rape or incest, and his disparaging remarks about the civil rights movement which I’ve outlined above.

Many of the comments were so racy that CNN declined to post them. He did state that he loved watching women in the showers in 2011.

Other comments associated with the unhinged candidate include a post in which he supported the return of slavery. He actually wrote, “Slavery is not bad. Some people need to be slaves. I wish they would bring it (slavery) back. I would certainly buy a few.” One can only shake one’s head over this disgusting remark.

Nothing seems to escape Robinson’s vile pen or tongue, as in March 2012, he wrote that he preferred the former leader of Nazi Germany, Adolf Hitler, over the leadership in Washington during the administration of Barack Obama. Here he wrote, “I’d take Hitler over any of the shit that’s in Washington right now!”

Other derogatory comments attributed to this unfit candidate for governor include racial slurs directed at Black, Jewish, and Muslim people. Robinson certainly appears to be an equal-opportunity racist, that’s for sure! It goes without saying that Robinson directed his bile at homosexuals as well. He frequently called other users “fags.”

In a largely positive forum discussion featuring a photo of two men kissing after one returned from a military deployment, Robinson wrote the sole negative comment: “That’s sum ole sick ass faggot bullshit!”

Well, there you have it: an incisive exposure of another disgusting, extreme candidate running for political office that should be immediately disqualified. I’m overjoyed that this new scandal introduces the American people to the governor’s race out of North Carolina that has otherwise not been too much in the public eye recently since it’s been overshadowed by the Trump/Harris contest. But now it’s been thrust onto everyone’s consciousness. And it exposes chinks in the Dump campaign since he’s endorsed this ogre. But what else is new? Trump has endorsed so many losing candidates in the past that we have lost count already. How can the Republican Party expect to win in November by putting up such controversial candidates? When will the fucking repugnican party realize they’ve backed a three-time loser, and possibly, a fourth?

Here is Atticus peering over the TV stand when I was trying to rewatch 2001: A Space Odyssey the other night. I kid you not: he was watching some of the scenes along with me. I don’t think he was watching the early scenes comprising the “dawn of man” that featured groups of apes living together.

Here is my latest edition of The Atlantic showing the Orange Turd in what looks like a circus wagon with him holding a whip and an elephant in the back, as he charges toward Washington, D.C., and the Capitol building. The skies are full of clouds which would actually be what’s on the horizon if he ever won back the White House. Remember, this magazine published articles stating what would happen during a second Drumpf administration and why it was imperative not to elect him again.
