Today is Saturday, November 2, 2024. We have just three days left before Election Day and I’m biting my nails down to the quick in anticipation of the worse result: a Dump win. But there is good news in a state that Dump carried twice: Iowa. Now Vice President Kamala Harris holds a slim three percent lead over her fascist opponent. A CNN online article by Jennifer Agiesta entitled “Trump no longer leads in a state he carried twice, according to new Iowa Poll,” provides the good news to those who desperately wish for a Harris win this Election Day.
Thus Harris holds 47 percent to former president Donald Dump’s 44 percent among likely voters in the final Iowa Poll before Election Day from the Des Moines Register and Mediacom. “That margin falls within the poll’s 3.4 point margin of sampling error and suggests no clear leader in the state, which has widely been rated as solidly in the GOP column during this years’s campaign.”
The findings suggest a shift toward Harris compared with the previous Iowa Poll, in September, which found a narrow edge for Drumpf. In that poll, 47 percent of likely voters backed Dump to 43 percent for Harris.
The new poll finds women in the state largely favor Harris over Dump, 56 percent to 36 percent, while men support Dump by a narrower margin, 52 percent to 38 percent. And independents in the state have flipped to support Harris, 46 percent to 39 percent; they have favored Dump in Iowa Polls released earlier this year.
The survey also suggests that older voters are firmly in Harris’s camp, with 55 percent of likely voters ages 65 or older backing her to 36 percent for Dump, while likely voters younger than 35 split about evenly, 46 percent Harris to 44 percent Dump.
The Des Moines Register/ Mediacom Iowa Poll was conducted October 28 to 31 by Selzer & Co. among 808 Iowa likely voters. Interviews were conducted by telephone. Results among likely voters have a margin of sampling error of plus or minus 3.4 points.
In the meantime, the former president who was adjudicated a sexual predator by a jury last year has had a ton of trouble appealing to women in general, especially considering the fact that women’s reproductive rights were yanked away from them as a result of his appointment of three extremist judges that abolished it in 2022. This fact plaguing the Dump campaign receives coverage in a CNN online article by Steve Contorno, Kristen Holmes, and Alayna Treene entitled “As women outpace men in early turnout, Trump’s challenge to win over female voters comes into focus.”
All throughout the campaign, Dump has made inroads among right-leaning males but not women. He will end his erratic campaign having largely avoided podcasts, YouTube channels, and daytime TV shows tailored toward female audiences.
It’s evident that Dump has been uncertain about how to court women since Roe v. Wade was overturned in June 2022. At a rally in Green Bay, Wisconsin, Dump repeated an absurd promise to be women’s “protector” no matter what, which became another cringeworthy moment in his surreal campaign. He actually recounted that his aides urged him not to say this, but he didn’t care. This is what he said: “Sir, please don’t say that,” Dump referencing comments from aides. “Why? I’m president. I want to protect the women of our country. Well, I’m going to do it, whether the women like it or not. I’m going to protect them.” Which unleashed huge backlash from Harris’s camp, which then seized on his ridiculous remarks, pairing the clip with Dump’s antiabortion statements in a video that amassed over 2.4 million views on X. Harris followed up by highlighting the comments during a brief and rare news conference and later at a rally in Reno, Nevada, where she said “Trump simply does not respect the freedom of women or the intelligence of women to make decisions about their own lives.”
Harris’s campaign also criticized Dump for asserting Thursday that former presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. would work on “women’s health” in a second Dump administration. This extreme opponent of life-saving vaccines and advocate of many debunked public health conspiracy theories would certainly be a great proponent of women’s health, that’s for fucking sure!
The only women that appear to be drawn to the sexual predator are those who attend his racist, boring rallies. In the seven most contested battleground states, women have cast 55 percent of ballots so far, while men account for 45 percent, according to Catalist, a Democratic-aligned data firm. This 10-point disparity representing nearly 1.4 million ballots, though slightly less than it was four years ago, nevertheless has Dump allies concerned. Good!
Ringing the alarm bell for Dump’s flagging campaign, Charlie Kirk, president of Turning Point Action, a conservative group responsible for much of Drumpf’s ground strategy, said, “Early vote has been disproportionately female. If men stay at home, Kamala is president. It’s that simple.” Let’s hope this is a trend that we will see leading up to and including Election Day.
I won’t repeat what a female Dump campaign spokeswoman said about Harris since she used the defense mechanism of projection which is favored by her Orange Menace of a boss all throughout his life. She stupidly asserted, “Women deserve a President who will secure our nation’s borders, remove violent criminals from our neighborhoods, and build an economy that helps our families thrive – and that’s exactly what President Trump will do.” Hell, no; it’s exactly the opposite if this fool gets in.
As I said, Harris will succeed in energizing female voters like no other candidate in a long time. This election will personify the expression, in my opinion, “Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.” Go, baby, girl!
Have a great Sunday.
And so it went.
