Today is Tuesday, January 14, 2025, just 6 days away to the train wreak known as Donald J. Chump’s second inauguration, which will occur on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, which is a blasphemy in my humble opinion. It couldn’t be a more ironic occasion on which to restore the worst president in U.S. history back into power. Again, this is not just my viewpoint; it’s shared by a wide margin of voters who wouldn’t vote for Chump this time around, no way whatsoever.

A no-holds-barred online article appears in The Moderate Voice which is entitled “Tarnishing the Presidency and the Nation” that assesses what will happen under a second Chump presidency and what is predicted is not good, to say the least. It begins with the release of former prosecutor Jack Smith’s report on Dump and his involvement in the January 6, 2021, insurrection against the Capitol. The article acknowledges he “will not be punished for his crime of insurrection in 2020.”

The article does point out that, once inaugurated, Chump will exact revenge against his many perceived enemies. This was direly predicted by experts long before the election, but an uninformed electorate ignored these dire forecasts of revenge embodied in a sitting president and voted for him anyway. The article opines what “crazy schemes he will pursue once he’s in office.” It states, “Will the military be used to occupy Greenland and invade Panama? Perhaps also Canada. Will Bitcoin replace the dollar to increase Trump’s wealth? Will vaccines be prohibited?”

Bluntly, the article notes, “The travesty of Trump’s election does not rest on Trump’s shoulders but on those of the American people. Instead of investigating all of Trump’s purported crimes and odd behavior, they took Trump’s words as gospel and believed what he said while campaigning, as well as before and afterward.” It’s very clear that billionaires will benefit from Chump’s tax cuts as will corporate entities. The middle class and the poor will both suffer under a second Chump administration. Programs that traditionally help the poor and middle class such as Medicaid, Obamacare, SNAP, and so on will be cut after the 20th of January.

“America’s standing in the world will plummet with Trump as president, as people globally will wonder how Americans could have elected Trump as president.” Global alliances will be probably destroyed, “with NATO probably the first to be dissolved.” However, the people have spoken [albeit so stupidly] and “now we will have to await the consequences.”

Today also marked the beginning of the Senate confirmation hearings on Dump’s long list of wackos for his cabinet. This one today concerned the nomination of Pete Hegseth who has earned scorn by so many critics out there for his utter unsuitability for the job of Secretary of Defense. There are allegations of public drunkenness, sexual assault allegations, and his misogynistic views of women in the military that should alarm any moderate repugnican, but we all know there aren’t any. I just heard that one senator, GOP Senator Jodi Ernst, who was initially reluctant to back him, has now thrown in the towel and is saying she will. That means this bastard will probably win confirmation since the repugnicans have a majority in the Senate and there are no other senators out there willing to say no to their Orange Turd of a leader.

Today also marked the release of the special counsel’s report on Donald Dump’s “criminal efforts to retain power” in 2020. The report was released overnight and is 130 pages long. How many Americans will even bother to read just five pages, let alone 130 pages? If the Orange Turd had not been reelected, it’s been reported that he certainly would have been convicted of inciting the insurrection. So now what do we do? The answer is nothing; the bastard got away with murder, again.

Oh, one little example of how this odious Hegseth is consummately unqualified for the job he’s been chosen for is the tense exchange he had with Senator Tammy Duckworth (D-IL), herself a disabled veteran of the Iraqi war, when he could not name any countries that are in the Alliance of Southeast Asian Nations, or ASEAN, during the hearing. It’s like not knowing what a “noun” is if you’re applying for a job as an English teacher. The senator told CNN that she was “flabbergasted” that Hegseth was not able to answer a very simple question. She then concluded, “And for him to not even know a single nation out of the 10 in ASEAN speaks very loudly to his lack of qualifications for the job.” Her repugnican colleagues in the room will definitely shut their ears to his fucking lack of credentials and confirm his nomination just to appease the Golden God.
