Today is Sunday, March 8, 2025. In the chaos that surrounds this new administration, people might have lost sight of a Supreme Court race about to take place in Wisconsin in early April. I learned about this crucial race that is stacking up as a referendum on the copresident in this country, Elon Muskrat, and how critical it is to this foundering democracy from a new podcast I started to listen to: MediasTouch which was founded by three brothers. This upcoming Supreme Court race could decide the future of democracy – and the despised owner of Tesla is trying to buy it, according to the latest Medias+ podcast.
Ben Meidas sat down with Judge Susan Crawford who is running against a far-right Dump loyalist who represents the worst of MAGA extremism. Crawford is bravely attempting to keep Wisconsin’s Supreme Court from falling into the hands of far-right Drumpf loyalist, Brad Schimel. What’s terribly alarming is that Muskrat has already dumped millions into deceptive attack ads against Crawford.
As Judge Crawford put it bluntly: “He doesn’t care about Wisconsin. He’s never been here. He doesn’t even know who he’s running these ads against.” And if you’re angered that these MAGA idiots are immune to all facts, Crawford mentions that the first ad used a photo of a completely different Susan Crawford, not her.
Look how extreme this Schimel character is: First, he believes the Wisconsin Supreme Court “screwed over” Donald Trump by not overturning the 2020 election; second, he has openly stated he wants to be part of a “support network” for Dump; third, he is cheerfully running with Musk’s millions behind him because they know he will do the bidding of billionaires and far-right extremists, not the people of Wisconsin. I would say these factors definitely put Schimel in the far-out range of MAGA extremism, don’t you?
Schimel’s win would mean a far-right Wisconsin Supreme Court, one that could gut reproductive rights, health care access, environmental protections, and public safety laws.
According to Crawford, this race is not purely about politics which is decidedly true, it’s also about profit. As Judge Crawford explains, it’s little old Muskrat who has personal financial interests in Wisconsin’s legal system, including a Tesla lawsuit trying to overturn state laws preventing direct car sales. So Crawford states that Muskrat doesn’t want a fair court. “He wants a bought-and-paid-for justice,” she bluntly mentions.
Another terrible consequence if Schimel, the far-right dummy, wins is that government overreach as exemplified by the goons in charge of DOGE (Department of Government Efficiency), a byword for stealing people’s private data, digging through medical records, and tax information, would get far worse under Schimel’s watch.
Therefore, the consequential election in this battleground state is on April 1. So if you feel riled up over this truly important race that could determine how far one South African billionaire can interfere in our levers of democracy and successfully erode it to pursue his own selfish, greedy agenda, donate as little or as much as you can to this race in Wisconsin. The founding fathers of this Republic will thank you! (I know I don’t ever ask you to donate to any political race, but this particular one is an exception, I believe, given how far we’ve sunk in less than two months.)
With regard to this race, I urge you to pay close attention to it and research what I’ve written about here. Don’t take my word that this is a fight to the death in Wisconsin. I hope you come to that same conclusion by yourself.
One good thing to look forward to in the upcoming week is the weather which is supposed to be warmer than usual. Temperatures are expected to be in the 50s which is a welcome relief from the cooler temperatures we’ve been registering. So enjoy!
And so it went!
