Today is Saturday, March 22, 2025. Who doesn’t hate what this so-called president is doing to the guts of this country, by delegating unprecedented authority to an unelected individual, by the name of Elon Musk, to fire thousands of federal workers in various agencies? One particular area that will definitely put people out on the fucking street is the proposed dismantling of the Social Security Administration (SSA). The ever-diligent Rachel Maddow addressed this incendiary issue on her broadcast on Friday in which she devoted a substantial amount of time to this subject. An online article for The Wrap covers how this con man is breaking government’s perennial promise to the American people with regard to meddling with social security.

Maddow had a strong warning in the wake of Donald Dump’s planned cuts to the SSA and offices around the United States, which include the firing of at least 12 percent of the SSA’s workforce. She said, “My whole adult life, we have thought of attacking Social Security as the third rail of American politics.” She added, “You touch it, and it is a guaranteed political death. Well, we are now witnessing the strongest test we’ve ever had of that aphorism – as Donald Trump grabs that third rail firmly and unmistakably, Trump has announced plans to fire thousands of people who work at the Social Security Administration, more than 12% of its staff. He has realized plans to shut down dozens of local Social Security offices across the country.”

Here is how Drumpf’s own attack dog, Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, put it on the “All-In” podcast when he talked about the prospect of clients not receiving their checks. He has the fucking audacity to suggest that only so-called “fraudsters” would complain about not receiving their Social Security checks. This is blatantly untrue and is also a heartless comment coming from a fucking billionaire who doesn’t need social security at all. He claimed that these fraudsters were fleecing the system. He had the temerity to say that his own 94-year-old mother-in-law – if she didn’t receive her check – would not call and complain. What reality is he living in?

He added, “She’d think something got messed up, and she’ll get it next month. A fraudster always makes the loudest noise, screaming, yelling and complaining.” Wait till millions of angry “fraudsters” man the protest line to demonstrate these inhumane cuts to the SSA when it eventually happens! Will Lutnick change his stupid comment then about these alleged con men fleecing the system?

Maddow indicated what the implications of these cuts will be for millions of elderly people and that will be that “millions more elderly people and people with disabilities will be forced to somehow make their way physically to a Social Security office in person, if they can find one, because they’re closing lots of offices, because they will need to get help in person from a Social Security staffer, provided they can find one who hasn’t been fired.” She said, “Making grandma wait in lines is not nice, right?”

The MSNBC host indicated that a federal judge just blocked the acronym known as DOGE which really stands for “Disgusting Oligarchs Grabbing Everything,” instead of what it laughingly stands for – the Department of Government Efficiency – on Thursday from accessing the Social Security files of millions of Americans. U.S. District Judge Ellen Hollander wrote, “The DOGE team is essentially engaged in a fishing expedition at SSA, in search of a fraud epidemic, based on little more than suspicion.”

Hollander did note that “To be sure, rooting out possible fraud, waste, and mismanagement in the SSA is in the public interest. But that does not mean that the government can flout the law to do so.”

So, it’s only a matter of time before this issue sets off a firestorm of protests across the country to let repugnicans know how disgusted the American people are with them as a whole, especially one Elon Muskrat who has no business doing what he’s doing for a corrupt president.

Oh, by the way, this marks the fifth week that Muskrat’s role in slashing federal government staffing and budgets has been met with nationwide protests at nearly 90 Tesla showrooms across the United States. This is now the fifth week of the “Tesla Takedown” movement.

The demonstrations, according to the Tesla Takedown website, urge people to “sell your Teslas” and “dump your stock” as a way of reprimanding Muskrat, who owns a sizable stake in the electric vehicle maker.

I truly hope these demonstrations yield results for Tesla stock and its vehicles, meaning that they plummet precipitously and that more and more Tesla owners trade in their cars for other “approved” vehicles. Or sell them!
