Today is Wednesday, March 26, 2025. Countermanding the Dump administration’s newest scandal involving sharing war plans via an unsecured messaging app called Signal in which the idiot known s Pete Hegseth, the new secretary of defense, downplayed the significance of it, editor-in-chief Jeffrey Goldberg today published excerpts of the chat in which he was an accidental participant in The Atlantic, the magazine where he is employed. Goldberg exposed the administration’s almost-fatal error in sharing war plans with unsecured listeners like himself because Hegseth lied to a Senate investigative panel yesterday, saying, “Nobody was texting war plans. And that’s all I have to say about it.”
The article begins with this quote about national security adviser Mike Waltz which can be generalized to ALL of Dump’s cabinet these days: “Everyone in the White House can agree on one thing: Mike Waltz is a fucking idiot.”
This quote came from an anonymous White House official published on Politico on the day Jeffrey Goldberg published a story of how he accidentally got added to a Signal group chat that contains top U.S. national security officials, who were discussing war plans to bomb Yemen.
Yesterday the people involved in this “glitch,” which was labeled this way by the dimwitted president, sat before a heated Senate hearing to answer questions about this mistake. All of them, including Hegseth and new director of national “intelligence,” Tulsi Gabbard, lied to the panel about how scandalous this “glitch” truly was. The director of the Central Intelligence Agency, John Ratcliffe, also confronted angry senators and lied about the import of what had just happened.
Thus the statements made by these lying members of the Dump administration led Goldberg and Shane Harris to reveal the actual texts of what he was a party to.
Here then is a summary of what is contained in the group chat that Goldberg has disclosed. It is Hegseth who posts true war plans in the message posted to the other readers of this thread. I’m just going to quote a little of it since it’s gobbledegook to me:
At 11:44 a.m. eastern time, Hegseth posted in the chat, in all caps, “TEAM UPDATE.”
The text beneath this begins: “TIME NOW: Weather is FAVORABLE. Just CONFIRMED w/CENTCOM we are a GO for mission launch.” (Centcom, or Central Command, is the military’s combatant command for the Middle East.)
“12:15 et: F-18s LAUNCH (1st strike package)”.
“13:45: ‘Trigger-Based’ F-18 1st Strike Window Starts (Target Terrorist is @ his Known Location so SHOULD BE ON TIME – also, Strike Drones Launch (MQ-9s).”
If this is not classified information regarding conducting a strike against Houthis, then I have a bridge to sell you real cheap. Hegseth is a fucking liar, just like everyone else in Dump’s inner circle. It’s very clear if this entire text had been received by someone hostile to American interests – or someone merely indiscreet and with access to social media – the Houthis would have had time to prepare for what was meant to be a surprise attack on their strongholds. The consequences for American pilots could have been catastrophic and Hegseth and his witless cronies would have been directly responsible for their deaths.
Other highlights of Hegseth’s text are these:
“14:10: More F-18s LAUNCH (2nd strike package)”
“14:15: Strike Drones on Target (THIS IS WHEN THE FIRST BOMBS WILL DEFINITELY DROP, pending earlier ‘Trigger Based’ targets)”
“15:36: F-18 2nd Strike Starts – also, first sea-based Tomahawks launched.”
“MORE TO FOLLOW (per timeline).”
“We are currently clean on OPSEC” – that is, operational security.
“Godspeed to our Warriors.”
Shortly after, the vanishing vice president JD Vance texted the group, “I will say a prayer for victory.” How revolting!
At 1:48, the national security adviser, Mike Waltz, sent the following text, containing real-time intelligence about conditions at an attack site, apparently in Sanaa: “VP. Building collapsed. Had multiple positive ID. Pete, Kurilla, the IC, amazing job.” Here General Michael Kurilla is the commander of Central Command. IC refers to the intelligence community, which here seems to be not be visible in this group chat. Not too much intelligence here, in sharing this sensitive information on the day of these airstrikes on an open channel, folks.
The bearded lumberjack of a vice president texted “what?” after Waltz’s text apparently confused him as to what multiple positive ID meant. The reference to “multiple positive ID” suggests that U.S. intelligence had ascertained the identities of the Houthi target, or targets, using either human or technical assets.
Waltz then responded that he was typing too fast for the confused vp, further saying, “The first target – their top missile guy – we had positive ID of him walking into his girlfriend’s building and it’s now collapsed.”
Vance then responded a minute later with “Excellent.” Thirty-five minutes after that, Ratcliffe, the CIA director, wrote, “A good start.” Here Waltz employed juvenile emojis on succeeding text like a fist emoji, an American-flag emoji, and a fire emoji. Boy, isn’t this so masculine?
Later that afternoon, Hegseth posted: CENTCOM was/is on point.” He notably told the group that attacks would be continuing. He added, “Great job all. More strikes ongoing for hours tonight, and will provide full initial report tomorrow. But on time, on target, and good readouts so far.”
So here’s most of the not-classified chat, according to the jerk known as Pete Hegseth and Tulsi Gabbard who downplayed the entire episode. Ir is still unclear why a journalist was added to this text exchange, but think about it, folks, if we didn’t have Goldberg there accidentally, we wouldn’t have known about the existence of this terrible, glaring lapse in sanity.
Again, I hope all Democrats loudly call for these officials’ immediate resignations.
And so it went!
