And So It Goes

Today is Monday, December 22, 2025. The Jeffrey Epstein scandal will be Dump’s albatross, since it’s not going away and it gets worse with each passing day. Today the Daily News has an editorial on the subject and it’s entitled “Truth will out.” Basically, the editorial points out how Dump’s own Justice Department is obviously protecting him from possible indictments as a pedophile by failing to comply with the law that stated ALL the files must have been released by last Friday, December 19. I wrote about this already.

Thus the editorial indicates how the department released only a fraction of the records with heavy redactions. By the way, I watched a full episode of Saturday Night Live for the first time in decades and the show began with Grump impersonator, James Austin Johnson, delivering a simulation of his horrible, horrible Wednesday address last week. He was quite funny. I’m surprised the ogre-in-chief hasn’t tried to remove this show from the air, but he can still try to do it before he leaves office.

The editorial notes that the situation with releasing the files only came about because of bipartisan pressure from both sides of the aisle that forced Demented Don’s hand, “after he had falsely promised to release the files in full and then angrily insisted that he wouldn’t because there weren’t any and this whole story – of a billionaire and his cadre of friends, among the most influential people in the world, running a pedophile sex trafficking ring – was a nothing burger.”

The editorial also notes that this despot has met his match with this burning issue and that his most loyal supporters have finally opened their eyes to his inherent vileness, “and many are not happy with him.” Praise the Lord!

Dump, according to the editorial, did not seem to grasp his already conspiratorially minded MAGA base that really cared about this issue, “and had bought into an alternate reality where he would be a savior bringing the Epstein abuses to light,” but there was no way to square that with what clearly happened during that time, especially if Grump himself is plainly implicated.

The thrust of the editorial is that this matter should be a concern of everyone and that the truth MUST come out, despite who is mentioned in these files or documents, “regardless of wealth, social status, party affiliation and political prominence or anything else.”

Thus the “Injustice” Department, as I’ll now dub this personal arm of Dump’s vengeance force, is certainly violating the law “in order to promulgate injustice and shield the president.”

The editorial muses “What could possibly be in those files that Trump is willing to dynamite his credibility with his own base at a time when he’s historically unpopular and his MAGA movement is splintering?” A person can only speculate how damaging and incriminatory those files are to this already sexually adjudicated felon.

In conclusion, the editorial promises that the nation will eventually find out what’s in them, sooner or later. “All of this maneuvering is just delaying the inevitable, but there are too many eyes watching; the truth will emerge here and everyone who worked to obscure it will face consequences.” We hope!

I have one other route that this could go – without the lackadaisical and inherently corrupt Injustice Department taking its damn time in order to protect a wanton criminal, and that is if all of the Epstein survivors themselves just come out with their own list of abusers before this gets resolved by Congress. They must know who their abusers were; they just release their own list, with the aid of lawyers representing them. Do you think this is a good course of action then? I’ve heard that they have condemned the Injustice Department for its handling and release of the files. Even former President Bill Clinton has called for the immediate release of all of the Epstein Files.

Now Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer announced he will introduce a Senate resolution to sue the Department of Justice for failing to fully release files related to Jeffrey Epstein by the deadline mandated in the Epstein Files Transparency Act, accusing the Drumpf regime of breaking the law, shielding powerful figures, and prompting calls for lawsuits, contempt proceedings, and even impeachment of Attorney General Bimbo Bondi.

Shit! Another breaking controversy and that is a CBS “60 Minutes” episode that was taken down by right-wing Bari Weiss, its new editor-in-chief, because it paints this cruel regime in a fucking terrible light as it depicts what happened at the beginning of the Orange Turd’s deportation policy of sending immigrants to a despicable El Salvadoran facility, known for its brutality. The facility is called CECOT. But here’s the rub, the station accidentally aired part of this hard-hitting episode that Weiss removed to mollify the Orange Dictator.

I’m listening to it now on The Parnas Perspective, part of a podcast that I listen to regularly. Can you believe what Canadians now think of this country after viewing it? The episode paints a horrible picture of this regime’s continuing inhumane policy. No wonder Weiss decided to take it down, but shame to her for bending a knee to this despot. So when will this censored episode ever be seen here in the United States? I doubt it will be seen anytime soon as the reverberations of 1984 have gripped our country with this current administration. The news story details brutal beatings by guards and many other indignities forced to experience, while food and medicine were often withheld from the prisoners. Everyone should be able to see this here, but now you can’t because of outright censorship being practiced by legacy media. It’s an outright shame!

This Weiss lady is quite a character; she actually hosted a town hall with the widow of the arch right-wing guru, Charlie Kirk, on her station, and she’s obviously Jewish, but very right wing. Ugh! Actually, she considers herself anti-“woke.” Fuck her! But she’s in a very prominent and dangerous position now, which does not bode well for independent media in the age of Drumpf. How many years left do we have with this despot? This capitulation to Leader Drumpf by CBS should really scare everyone!

All I can say is when is the next “No Kings” rally? We need one very soon. The last one was in October. It’s now December. It will soon be too cold to march here in Manhattan.

And so it went!

And So It Goes

Today is Saturday, December 20, 2025, one day before the first day of winter and the winter of this country’s discontent, as the country continues to reel under the alleged leadership of Donald J. Grump. But there are glimmers of hope as we approach the New Year!

One of the big stories happening now with this monstrously corrupt administration is the incomplete release by Dump’s personal Justice Department yesterday of the damning Epstein files that was demanded after the liar in chief signed the petition to disclose the files on Friday, December 19. As would be expected, Democrats have decried this paltry release of the files and the obvious redaction of names in them as a “cover-up” by this Dump and his regime. Thus an online MS Now article appeared yesterday covering this revolt by Democrats over the unsatisfactory release of the files. The article is called “Democrats slam Trump administration for incomplete release of Epstein files,” and it’s written by Mychael Schnell.

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) weighed in on the nothing burger released to the American public yesterday with no prominent Republican names in it, “This set of heavily redacted documents released by the Department of Justice is just a fraction of the whole body of evidence. Simply releasing a mountain of blacked-out pages violates the spirit of transparency and the letter of the law.”

Schumer added, “Senate Democrats are working to assess the documents that have been released to determine what actions must be taken to hold the Trump administration accountable. We will pursue every option to make sure the truth comes out.”

On Friday, Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche wrote a letter to Congress explaining that “because of the volume of material and the requirement that every page of every document be reviewed for potential redactions, final stages of review of some material continue.” In other words, he should have said, “America, you’re fucked! We’re not releasing everything this Friday and take that!”

But that is not what Congress approved of a month ago. Under the Epstein Files Transparency Act, “all unclassified records” were due to be released by December 19, which was yesterday. The only “permitted withholdings” were “records that include personally identifiable information of victims; depict child sexual abuse; would jeopardize an active investigation; show images of death, physical abuse or injury of individuals; or include information authorized by an executive order to be kept secret in the interest of national defense or foreign policy.”

The fact that this warped regime withheld some documents immediately raised concerns by Democrats.

A spokesperson for Senate Minority Whip Dick Durbin said, “The Justice Department’s failure to fully comply with the Epstein Files Transparency Act not only violates the law, it continues this Administration’s pattern of protecting President Trump and other perpetrators. He added that this was an ongoing “cover-up” from Attorney General Pam Bondi and FBI Director Kash Patel, two fuckups in the Drumpf regime.

Other Democrats were quick to use the phrase to describe what just happened yesterday.

Vice Chair of the House Democratic Caucus, Representative Ted Lieu (D-CA), wrote on X, “This looks more like a coverup than an actual release of the Epstein Files.”

Being even more critical, Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) also wrote on X, “Now the coverup is out in the open.” She added, “This is far from over. Everyone involved will have to answer for this. Pam Bondi, Kash Patel, whole admin. Protecting a bunch of rapists and pedophiles because they have money, power, and connections. Bondi should resign tonight.”

Another congresswoman, Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-WA), posted a photo on X of a page full of redactions. She wrote, “This is part of the Trump’s administration’s Epstein Files release – 119 pages of Grand Jury testimony, fully redacted. This is not transparency. This is a cover-up. Follow the law and release ALL of the damn files.” And she should have said also “without redactions.”

Senator Ruben Gallego (D-AZ) said the intent of the law is clear. “They had 30 days to comply and release the Epstein Files. They are blatantly breaking the law to cover up for pedophiles.”

There you have it, folks. The morally bankrupt people left in the Justice Department after this asshole in chief scrubbed the entire department of independent, nonpartisan agents is now forcefully protecting the pedophile in the White House, and it’s plain disgusting. What more do we need to justify the removal of this man from office?

This noncompliance by the Justice Department to an act of Congress should infuriate all of us and will result in us being even more distrustful of this fucking government more than ever. This abominable response by authorities to a law stipulating the entire release of files related to the odious Jeffrey Epstein only hurts the many survivors of this monster. America should demand justice for them – finally.

Have a good Sunday.

And so it went!

And So It Goes

Today is Tuesday, November 18, 2025. Today was supposed to be a none-too-exciting day, with Elliot undergoing Mohs surgery on his scalp at 10 a.m., but who would have thought that both the House and Senate would deliver surgical strikes against this unfit president in their voting to release the Epstein files. This was done on the same day – right after the House almost unanimously approved legislation that would force those documents into the open. Hours after the House overwhelmingly passed a bill to force the exposure of the Justice Department’s investigation into Jeffrey Epstein, the Senate moved to approve the legislation by unanimous consent – sending a clear message to the buffoon in chief that his party has abandoned him in his hour of need. This measure is covered in an online MSNBC article by Kevin Frey entitled “Senate suddenly passes the Epstein bill just hours after it cleared the House.”

“Speaking on the Senate floor shortly after 5 p.m., Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) pushed through the Epstein Files Transparency Act using unanimous consent, a maneuver that allows the chamber to bypass normal procedural hurdles.”

Schumer thundered, “Donald Trump has tried to cover up for Jeffrey Epstein long enough,” before asking to pass the bill. “It’s time that the Senate finished the job to finally compel the Department of Justice to release the Epstein files.”

The move was so swift that the Senate hadn’t even formally received the bill from the House. Schumer asked that once it arrives, it be automatically “deemed as passed” – an unusual step underscoring the urgency and political momentum behind the contentious issue.

This quick passage is sure to anger MAGA Johnson, the unqualified Speaker of the House, and many House repugnicans. But fuck them! We all know these repugnicans spent months denying Democrats a vote on the bill and Johnson, the pusillanimous Clark Kent of the House, was forced to give the legislation a vote only after four intrepid repugnicans joined all Democrats on a discharge petition.

Following the near-unanimous vote in the House, Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-SD) signaled that his chamber might move quickly, without changing the bill. And, boy, did it!

Thune countered, “I’m not sure there’s going to be a need for or desire for an amendment process over here,” which bristled the House Speaker to no end.

Schumer also stated for the record, “This isn’t about Democrats versus Republicans or about Congress versus the president. This is about giving the American people the transparency they’ve been crying for.” Schumer added, “This is about holding accountable all the people in Jeffrey Epstein’s circle who raped, groomed, targeted and enabled the abuse of hundreds of girls for years and years. The American people have waited long enough.” Amen, Minority Leader Schumer.

Now that the Senate has passed the bill, it will soon be on the president’s desk. It will be difficult for Donald Dump to not sign the bill, particularly after the House passed the measure 427-1, and the Senate passed it with unanimous consent.

That doesn’t mean that the Chump administration could not hold back information in the files, however. The bimbo Attorney General has broad authority to withhold information that could imperil future investigations – as the Justice Department has recently announced that it will open some phony investigations into some Democrats mentioned in the files – note how only Democrats are being investigated by this con artist.

So could the American people receive the full look into these documents that lawmakers have intended? If it’s obvious that the Dump regime is still obfuscating the truth, this will gloriously backfire on the clueless president and harm him for years to come!

In the meantime, the crude and vulgar president rebuked a female reporter who questioned him about the Epstein files, calling her “Piggy” as she pressed him on his past relationship with the late convicted sex offender.

What a fucking low life in the White House, folks! This boor told the reporter, “Quiet. Quiet. Piggy.” Talk about the pot calling the kettle black in this instance, where the fat pig was actually sitting on Air Force One! An even braver female reporter pressed the fat pig over his embrace of the Saudi prince who had journalist Jamal Khashoggi murdered while at the Saudi consulate in Istanbul in 2018. This president had the gall to say “Things happen” when confronted with his death at the behest of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. What a jerk! And he’s president of the United States?

Today, then, was a sweet victory for hundreds of Epstein survivors who pushed and pushed this country to this day. This country owes them a debt of gratitude.

By the way, Elliot did well today with his Mohs surgery which ended after a few minutes. We actually sat far longer in the waiting room with many other bandaged patients to wait for biopsy results of Elliot’s procedure which came back negative, thank God. Elliot still has a white bandage on his head, which he can take off tomorrow at some point. There was a woman, most probably in her seventies, who reminded me of the comedian Elaine May. She began talking to me as I tried to read one of the books I brought with me to the doctor’s office. She asked how long would the wait be; I answered that I couldn’t tell her. I was not a patient here. I then returned to reading Disorderly Men, my gay men’s reading selection for this month.

I think we were finished a little after 11, so we walked to York Avenue and 86th Street to have breakfast at a diner called The Mansion. We woke up today at 7:30 a.m. and left the apartment at 8:45. We got down to 86th Street close to 9:30, so we darted into Paris Baguette for a coffee. For me, of course.

After breakfast, we parted ways. Elliot went home, while I took the crosstown bus to Broadway where I searched for the Westsider Rare & Used Books store, located on 80th Street and Broadway. Since I sold a few books the other day at this bookstore in the Village called Codex, I justified buying one book called Hollywood’s Eve about Eve Babitz, who was a cultural icon of the scene in 1960s and 1970s Los Angeles. She has quite the biography, it seems. She is the goddaughter of Igor Stravinsky and a graduate of Hollywood High. She posed in 1963, at age 20, playing chess with the French artist Marcel Duchamp. She was nude; he was not. She designed album covers for Buffalo Springfield and the Byrds. She has seduced prominent men like Jim Morrison and Harrison Ford. At the age of 30, she was discovered as a writer – by no other than Joan Didion, the chronicler of her time. She would go on to publish seven books, usually billed as novels or short story collections. They were always more autobiographical in nature and definitely more confessional. I was then drawn to this personage’s colorful life, so that’s why I bought the book.

Tomorrow is the meeting of Forest Hills Indivisible at this nearby church, so I don’t know if I’ll be here. You’ll see me or you won’t. That’s all I can say.

Have a good Wednesday then.

And so it went!

This is my new addition to my ever-expanding library.

And So It Goes

Today is Thursday, November 13, 2025. The damn Epstein scandal does seem to be gaining momentum and it appears it will not go away anytime soon! Aaron Blake provides an analysis of the affair for CNN in “The political danger of the Epstein files for Trump.” It provides commentary on the growing damage it could cause the Drumpf presidency if nothing is done about it in the near future.

Even though the Teflon Don II hasn’t been accused of any wrongdoing in connection with the convicted sex offender, Dump sure is “doing a great job of looking suspicious,” Blake avers. Blake contends that this stand on the part of the sexual offender in the White House “could be a political problem in and of itself – regardless of whatever ultimately comes from the Epstein files.”

A batch of newly released Epstein emails yesterday added details about Drumpf’s past relationship with the disgraced financier, “but no smoking guns.” However, those emails in of themselves cast a doubtful eye on the culpability of the White House occupant. In one of those emails from 2011, Epstein expressed surprise to accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell that Dump’s name hadn’t surfaced amid accusations involving Epstein. The convicted sex trafficker added that at one point Dump spent hours with Epstein victim Virginia Giuffre at Epstein’s house. Could they have been discussing modern art perhaps?

And in 2019, Epstein appeared to signal Grump was quite aware of Maxwell recruiting girls from his Mar-a-Lago resort in the 2000s, saying “of course he knew about the girls as he asked ghislaine [sic] to stop.”

If this does not provide certain proof of Grump’s complicity in what Epstein was darkly doing to underage girls, it’s quite notable what his White House was preoccupied with just the other day: orchestrating a pressure campaign to thwart a House discharge petition that would force a vote on releasing the full Epstein files.

Despite this campaign to change their votes on the petition, thank God no repugnican conceded to the president’s wishes. So, no repugnicans removed their names from the petition, and Speaker MAGAt Johnson quickly said he would schedule a vote for next week on compelling the Justice Department to release the full documents.

Even if the measure passes in the House, that’s not the end of the story. The GOP-led Senate would still need to take it up, and Grump would still have to sign it. So it would be doubtful that Grump would release information that could torpedo his own disastrous presidency.

The more he and his awful lackeys continue to dodge, delay, and deny what seems to be almost overwhelming evidence of some wrongdoing on his part, the more Americans grow disgusted with this administration’s apparent lack of transparency. Grump has contributed to people’s believing there’s a conspiracy behind everything, and wouldn’t it be wonderful of this piece of shit cannot persuade voters that there has been no conspiracy with regard to Epstein. He will be undone by his petard. And it’s certainly about time – that his own very loyal supporters finally turn on him.

Really, should this country continue supporting a possible pedophile in the White House? Boy, have we devolved into pure depravity if this situation were allowed to continue? Where is the move to impeach this president?

People should be outraged over how Ghislaine Maxwell was transferred to a minimum-secuirty camp that she didn’t appear eligible for without a waiver. And that this convicted sexual predator was interviewed extensively by Grump’s private attorney. Hmm, doesn’t this in itself smack of interference on the part of the president in something he shouldn’t be even involved in? To me, this is very suspicious; this monster has even been allowed more perks than other inmates, it’s being reported. She is getting special treatment then; tell this to the many victims of Maxwell and Epstein. This is quite troubling, to say the least.

All I can say is I hope this will finally bite the fat ass of the Orange Turd in the very end. (No pun intended!)

Have a good Friday.

And so it went!

And So It Goes

Today is Wednesday, September 3, 2025. Today the news was all Epstein, Epstein, Epstein, as a powerful group of former Epstein victims demanded accountability against the backdrop of the U.S. Capitol for other adults, probably including the sitting president, who enabled the deceased financier’s sexual abuse and stated they would release their own “client list,” considering this fucking administration has not done anything to that effect ever since the Orange Turd got into office once more.

This event serves as the focal point of a Miami Herald article in the Daily News by Emily Goodin and Julie K. Brown entitled “Epstein victims say they will compile their own ‘client list.'”

Lisa Phillips, an Epstein victim who hosts a podcast that chronicles stories of sex abuse survivors, said, “We know the names.” She added, “Now, together as survivors, we will confidentially compile the names we all know were regularly in the Epstein world.”

The rally preceded a press conference, held by Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) and Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA), with Epstein lawyers and victims as the two congressmen push for the U.S. Justice Department to release all of the information from its investigations into the disgraced financier.

These events occurred in the wake of Epstein’s unholy accomplice, Ghislaine Maxwell, who appears to be pressing for a pardon from the convicted felon to commute her 20-year prison sentence.

Standing alongside Massie and Khanna was the surprising figure of Marjorie Taylor Greene, the progenitor of many crazy conspiracy theories, who said she would be very happy to work with Epstein’s survivors to make the list public. She said at the press conference, “It’s a scary thing to name names, but I will tell you, I’m not afraid to name names. So if they want to give me a list, I will walk in that Capitol on the House floor, and I’ll say every damn name.” Very ballsy from a ballsy woman!

The two lawmakers who organized the press conference, Massie and Khanna, could be using today’s event as a form of public pressure to press Congress to release the files already. It’s unclear, of course, how quickly Senate repugnicans will want to bring the matter to the floor and whether the convicted felon – whose name could possibly be contained in those files – would sign it!

Thus far, no new information from the case has emerged, further enraging those people personally connected to the case, especially Epstein’s adult victims who were abused as preteens. The Justice Department has only turned over its first tranche of files to the Oversight Committee, but Democrats said they contained mostly old information. No date for the next delivery has been announced.

Dump has suffered severe backlash in this matter for his abrupt about-face regarding the issue after his bimbo of an attorney general suddenly proclaimed there was no list and the files would remain sealed. I do hope this issue destroys him. Something has to!

Today marked a day of once-powerless women speaking out against power and privilege and Congress – and the country – must pay attention to them!

As you know, I was away from this venue yesterday since I attended my gay men’s reading club at 6:30 with my newest friend, “Harry.”

The number of guys present at last evening’s meeting was truly astounding: I estimated there were 60 of us literature lovers there, since a few of the latecomers had to sit on top of the platform in back of the cluster of chairs up front. This was new to me; no one had to sit up there ever before until yesterday.

The topic of discussion was Thomas Grattan’s 2024 novel, In Tongues. Not surprisingly, we took up the entire 90 minutes in assessing the book’s effectiveness. I even raised my voice several times in opposition to it. I was not much in favor of the book, if you need to know. Many of the other attendees were in agreement with me, even though there were some defenders of the book as well.

After the discussion, a small knot of us walked to Julius’s Bar. I actually ordered a cranberry juice, while Harry ordered a beer.

I got home around 10:30.

Since today is Wednesday, I drove to my comic bookstore on Metropolitan Avenue to pick up three comics, but I was unable to have breakfast in my usual Dominican coffee shop because every booth was occupied by someone there. This has never happened; I couldn’t ponder why this was so. Did a tourist bus just discharge all of these people at the door of Buen Sabor Latino Restaurant? I didn’t stay very long; I went to the Chinese bakery around the corner to have a Swiss cheese sandwich on a roll.

It’s late; so good night.

And so it went!

And So It Goes

Today is Tuesday, July 22, 2025. This Jeffrey Epstein business is such a hot potato for the convicted felon of a president that his henchman MAGA Johnson, the creepy House Speaker, has decided to shut down the House before a pivotal vote could have been taken to release the Epstein files. This is so fucking immorally blatant that no one is fooled by Dump’s biggest booster doing his duty to appease his Supreme Leader, but as article after article has pointed out, this affair will NOT go away and it could cause permanent damage to Chump’s second term after just six months into his second term.

One online article for AlterNet reveals how ruinous this scandal could be for the adjudicated sexual predator in the White House and it’s titled ‘In danger of coming undone’: Analyst says Epstein crisis exposed 2 key problems for Trump,” and it’s by Carl Gibson.

According to a recent analysis, the so-called president is already struggling to defeat a problem of his own making. In a Tuesday op-ed for The Hill, Democratic strategist Brad Bannon wrote that the ongoing controversy over Jeffrey Epstein is taking all the wind out of Dump’s sails less than a year into his second disastrous term.

According to Bannon, the longer Dump refuses to be transparent about Epstein, the worse it will be for him politically. Oh, don’t you just love this! The bastard is so terrified of the backlash against him that he started bloviating over a former president, Barack Obama, for committing treason. How could anyone in his or her right mind accept this delusional insanity coming from the pouty lips of this psychopath? He is deflecting and distracting even more desperately than ever. And his made-up delusions will not convince anyone that he’s telling the truth!

According to Bannon, he added that the scandal “reveals two key problems with [Trump’s] second term” that pose a significant risk to his ability to be effective in the future. Bannon said, “First, the president has broken a series of promises he made to the American people during the 2024 campaign. Second, he has always relied heavily on his most loyal supporters in times of trouble, but the once solid MAGA base is in danger of coming undone.”

“Trump’s refusal to release the infamous Epstein list is just one of the many promises he made while he was soliciting votes for his return to the White House last year. He has become the typical politician who will say anything to get elected and fail to deliver when he wins.”

Bannon went on to argue that Dump has already burned most of the bridges that helped him get reelected outside of the Epstein matter, including his former friendship with Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, who was his Number 1 campaign donor in 2024 before condemning his horrible budget bill. He also angered influential far-right podcaster Tucker Carlson by continuing to fund Ukraine in its war with Russia and former White House strategist Steve Bannon (no relationship to the author here) who has used his podcast to tear into Chump’s signature domestic policy legislation for lavishing the wealthy with another multi-trillion-dollar tax cut, arguing instead for significant hikes in the corporate tax rate. This statement from Bannon is very hopeful in terms of Drumpf losing his power as a result of this scandal: this could be the final nail in his political coffin.

“The sorry state of the economy will eventually be Trump’s undoing as it was Joe Biden’s,” Bannon wrote. “But the Epstein scandal gives Trump great grief in the here and now. His failure to follow up on his promise to release the infamous Epstein List of sexual predators has painted a giant kick-me sign on his backside.”

Only time will tell. I’m angry that this asshole called Mike Johnson can just force the House into early recess so this scandal could presumably go away by the time they convene again in September. This will not do and the American public will demand something be done about this affair sooner than later. Let this horrid man not get away with committing rape on 14-year-old girls under the tutelage of the late Jeffrey Epstein. Let’s also hope that his fanatic base of supporters falls away, leaving him in the lurch.

Today is the penultimate day before Elliot and I leave for the sultry state of Florida on Thursday and we did a mitzvah today by driving to Woodmere to help Elliot’s former neighbors “Mary” and “Joseph” by helping Mary with Joseph who has severely hurt himself with his back around July 6. Mary called us earlier this morning to ask us to come out and help her with doing shopping for her. Originally, I thought we were going to stay with Joseph while she went out and did some grocery shopping. When we arrived around 3, that was not the case: Mary desired us to go out to a neighboring FoodTown to buy items on a shopping list. We saw Joseph sort of haunched over on the couch. He had a towel over his privates since he is unable to get dressed. We also discover that his pain was not attributed to his back, but that he pinched a sciatic nerve. This could definitely be very painful, and Joseph mentioned that he’s on painkillers. Mary also mentioned that if these measures did not work on alleviating the pain altogether, then surgery is a final option. We hoped that this would not be necessary and then we went out and drove to the supermarket.

After leaving Mary and Joseph, we had dinner at Lucky Boy Restaurant where we topped off our delicious meal (I ordered eggplant parmigiana with capellini, while Elliot had a Greek salad with tzatziki and pita bread) with a slice of their yummy coconut cream pie.

And so it went!
