And So It Goes

Today is Wednesday, October 29, 2025. The unhinged “dictator” in chief sparked more fury on social media today when he threatened to send in more than the National Guard to U.S. cities if it’s warranted. This alarming pronouncement by this despot was covered in an online article for OK! entitled “‘Dictator’ Donald Trump Dragged for Threatening to ‘Send More Than the National Guard’ to U.S. Cities,” and it’s by Brianna Sainez.

Without any surprise, Dump’s declaration of sending more than the National Guard to our cities – read, just blue cities – he will never send troops to red states like Alabama, Kentucky, et al. that have more violent crime than the blue states he’s targeting – was raked over the coals by social media users far and wide.

The Orange Despot made this declaration aboard the USS George Washington in Yokohama, Japan, on Tuesday, October 28. He made this announcement to U.S. troops who were forced to listen to this guy bloviate.

The delusional leader stated, “We have cities that have trouble. We can’t have cities that are troubled (boy, is he the troubled one here) and we’re sending in our National Guard. And if we need more than the National Guard, we’ll send more than the National Guard because we’re going to have safe cities. We’re not going to have people killed in our cities.” In the meantime, this douchebag has indiscriminately killed 57 alleged drug traffickers in the Pacific Ocean and on the coast of Colombia without any evidence. Is this even legal?

Then the douchebag continued his despotic rant, “Whether people like it or not, that’s what we’re doing.” Then he fabricated the worst falsehood regarding what people want the federal government to be doing in their fair cities, saying, “You know, people don’t care if we send in our military (I fucking beg to differ since there was the matter of seven million protesters out on our streets last Saturday protesting just this horrible measure.), if we send in our National Guard, if use send in Space Command (why not send in the cavalry while you’re at it?), they don’t care who the hell it is. They just want to be safe. And we have safe cities now.”

Then he made the case worse for himself when he ridiculously claimed he could do whatever he wanted to. Without the courts, or “nobody would get involved.” He added, “And I could send the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines – I could send anybody I wanted.”

Once this clip went out, a flurry of critics on social media rapped Dump for the despot he truly is becoming. One user commented, “This is a dictator fantasy. The president doesn’t get to ‘do whatever I want’ . . . Deploying the military against Americans would continue to spark legal battles, constitutional crises, and grave risks to civil liberties.” Another user wrote, “The American democracy depends on institutions that check power, not on leaders who brag they’re above them.”

One user hit the nail on the head, saying, “Trump’s unhinged fantasy of turning American cities into militarized war zones without a whisper of judicial oversight isn’t leadership, it’s the blueprint for a fascist dictatorship we’d all regret electing.”

When Dump previously announced plans to deploy the National Guard to Washington, D.C., in August, citing rising crime rates, the data on crime rates have actually debunked that claim since rates had already dropped more than 25 percent in the last year. But Dump doesn’t look at facts, he just decides on gut instinct, even though it’s 99 percent wrong all the time!

Despotic comments aside here, Dump is also taking heat for his shambling performance in Asia in which he met with Japan’s new female Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi. There he appeared to be in cognitive decline when the prime minister had to forcefully take the president around to meet with dignitaries, where for one moment, it looked as if he strutted away without knowing where he was. Again, I didn’t watch the coverage from his Asia trip at all, and I can’t vouch for that. I did quickly watch a clip on my iPhone, though, and it does appear that the president looked befuddled there for a moment. Again, this could have been forestalled by a majority of American voters just voting for the better candidate in Kamala Harris, but, no, we had to vote for the Alzheimer’s case instead! And now we’re stuck with him declining right in front of our very eyes. Just like Ronald Reagan, and many people would claim Joe Biden as well. I would posit that Biden was far more cogent in his perceived decrepitude than this guy ever was!

A little note about tomorrow: my friend “Harvey” and I will be attending the screening of Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho tomorrow evening at Lincoln Center, with the New York Philharmonic performing the score alongside the film. I noticed an ad online announcing the orchestra was doing this a while back, so I decided to buy tickets for it in honor of Halloween. Since Elliot was not interested in going, I asked Harvey instead. He agreed to go. The show starts at 7:30 and we’re meeting to have dinner before the production. I’m looking forward to it.

I’ll see you, possibly, on Friday, which is officially Halloween. I don’t think I’ll go into the Village to watch the parade since rain is forecasted that day. Actually, rain is expected even tomorrow, but this won’t deter me from seeing the cinematic progenitor of all of those slasher films that followed it.

Today is Tuesday, October 28, 2025. I know I wrote that I might be absent from this page yesterday, but I’m here now. Our friend, “Patricia,” did take us out to dinner to celebrate our combined birthdays at Nick’s Bistro, on Metropolitan Avenue. The dinner was quite lovely; we shared some nice appetizers like a copious beet salad and crab cakes, while ordering individual entrees for each of us. I ordered the lemon ouzo chicken, while Patricia had lamb chops, while Elliot ordered the chicken kebab. For dessert, we asked for the chocolate mousse cake and shared it among the three of us. The dinner lasted only about 90 minutes, and then Elliot drove Patricia back to her apartment while also driving back to our block, with me parking the car just yards away from our apartment building. (Elliot gets a little wigged out with parking our not-so-new Subaru on a certain side, which is the left in this case.)

In the meantime, former President Joe Biden issued a dark warning against his successor in a speech delivered in Boston on Sunday in which he noted that the United States is facing “dark days” under this president, President Poop, but that the country is “more powerful than any dictator,” clearly painting Dump as a tinplated dictator. This announcement against his successor appears in an online article for Just News by Misty Severi entitled “Joe Biden claims US is facing ‘dark days’ under President Donald Trump.”

The former president made the comment while accepting the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Edward M. Kennedy Institute.

The former commander in chief urged Democratic voters to stay optimistic about the country’s future, but not to ignore the current administration’s alleged attacks on free speech and tests on the limits of executive power.

“Since its founding, America served as a beacon for the most powerful idea ever in government in the history of the world,” Biden said, according to the Associated Press. “The idea is stronger than any army. We’re more powerful than any dictator.”

Biden reminded the audience that the country’s history is “not a fairytale” and said the United States depends on a presidency with limited power, a functioning Congress, and an autonomous judiciary, which are all under massive attack by this cruel regime.

“Friends, I can’t sugarcoat any of this. These are dark days,” Biden said. Biden went on to indicate that the country will “find our true compass again” and that “we will emerge as we always have – stronger, wiser, and more resilient, more just, so long as we keep the faith.”

Along with the comments made by the former president, the government has now entered its 28th day of being shuttered, with repugnicans not to be found anywhere, as repulsive MAGA Johnson furloughed his representatives weeks ago in order to avoid releasing the Epstein files. The shutdown has resulted in the furlough of roughly 900,000 federal employees and left 2 million working without pay. And where is the president during all of this? you might ask. He’s in Japan fumbling his way through meetings with Asian leaders. I refused to watch any coverage of the asshole. I dare say running away to Asia while the government remains closed is fucking bad optics. And the American people are paying close attention to what the Orange Turd is doing. And are massing together to register their displeasure with this administration.

Today is Monday, October 27, 2025. The government is in its sixth week of a shutdown orchestrated by only Republicans, not Democrats, as MAGA Johnson would have you falsely believe. And now voters are finally incensed over the continued shutdown that will have negative repercussions in major areas. Today an online piece by Joe Scarborough for MSNBC entitled “The GOP’s government shutdown could cost it the Virginia race for governor,” Scarborough makes the case that these ugly repugnicans will finally be held accountable at the ballot box.

Thus because Republicans will not negotiate with Democrats over Affordable Care Act insurance premiums that will rise precipitously for millions of Americans, you have federal employees, people in the military, air traffic controllers now working every day without pay. On the other fucking hand, you have members of Congress, who haven’t set foot in Washington, D.C., in weeks, still collecting their goddamn paychecks. Is that fair, folks? I dare say it ain’t at all. This will have the accumulated effect of enraging voters for upcoming races.

Scarborough writes, “Any Republican who thinks that’s not a political problem has their head in the clouds,” or, as I would say, “their heads up their ass.”

The GOP’s problems don’t stop there even. The U.S. Department of Agriculture now says that come November 1 (this coming Saturday), the 42 million Americans who rely on the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, or SNAP, will not receive their benefits. This just doesn’t affect Democrats; just like cuts to Medicaid, this will severely impact people in both red and blue states alike.

Now while thousands of federal employees continue to work without pay and millions of Americans are on the verge of losing much-needed benefits, we have an Orange Turd of a president not focused on reopening the government or forcing repugnicans to come to the negotiating table, instead he’s focused on demolishing the East Wing of the White House to build a $300 million ballroom and giving Argentina a $20 (I think it’s now $40 billion) bailout.

Scarborough accurately forecasts that repugnicans will pay the price, and I say it will better come true. With just a week to go until Election Day in Virginia, the latest Washington Post-Schar School shows former Democratic Representative Abigail Spanberger with a 12-point lead over her opponent, Republican Lt. Governor Winsome Earle-Sears.

The MSNBC host also writes that “Voters know which party has a monopoly on power in Washington, and they’re going to hold it accountable.”

Thus this long-term shutdown will have consequences for the damn party in control of all the levers of government: the fucking repugnicans.

In the meantime, the horrid government that voters voted in again just announced that another foe of this asswipe is being investigated by Attorney General “Lapdog” Bondi, and that is Nancy Pelosi.

In the meantime, the demented president today revealed that he underwent an MRI during his recent checkup and brazenly lied about the results. He sounds more in like an Alzheimer’s fog every fucking day. In CBS News, an online article by Kathryn Watson discloses the sad story behind the growing decline of this president in front of the world stage. The article is titled “Trump reveals he underwent an MRI during recent checkup, calls results “perfect.”

Thus the Orange Menace told reporters he underwent the test during his recent checkup at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, where he called the results in Trumpspeak “perfect.”

Dump underwent a second examination in early October – six months after a physical in April – just leaving for the Middle East. The president was asked if he received an MRI as a part of his “advanced imaging” his physician said he received at Walter Reed.

Here is where Dump devolved in Trumpspeak: “I did. I got an MRI, it was perfect, yep,” telling reporters aboard Air Force One today, en route to Tokyo during his Asia tour, adding, “I gave you the full results (sure he did!). We had an MRI and the machine, you know, the whole thing, and it was perfect.” Doesn’t he sound as incoherent here as always?

Then he positively dived into full-on Trumpspeak, saying that his doctors told him he has “some of the best reports, for the age, some of the best reports they’ve ever seen.” Dump also had doctors lie for him, saying that his cardiac age “was found to be approximately 14 years younger than his chronological age.” They never said his mental age was that of a four-year-old, though. I dare you to believe this bullshit!

Tomorrow Elliot and I are having dinner with our friend “Patricia,” and I don’t know if I’ll be present here tomorrow evening. It depends; we’re meeting around 4:45 p.m. for a 5:15 reservation at Nick’s Bistro, on Metropolitan Avenue. I would dare guess that we won’t be out that long. How long could one linger over dinner?

Today is Wednesday, October 22, 2025. I’m posting this blog rather late tonight since Elliot and I were being hosted by our new friends on the second floor, “Randy” and “Burton.” We were invited over for dinner and Randy prepared a lovely dinner consisting of roasted chicken, coconut-flavored rice, and marinated cucumbers. For dessert, we all shared some sweet delicacies from a bakery Randy patronized in Astoria. All during dinner, we were greeted by Randy and Burton’s lovely 14-year-old cat, a Main Coon-type cat called Poofy or some name like that.

We were invited for 7 and we stayed at least 2 and a half hours. Elliot announced a little after 9 that he was getting tired, as we also decided to defer to Randy who was leaving for Portugal tomorrow night to participate in some sort of marathon. He mentioned that he was also spending some time in Paris before flying home to New York, and Elliot promised to give him several tips as to where to go in the City of Lights.

The only article I will comment on tonight then is one that should terrify President Poop and that is the online article in WGTC by Jorge Aguilar entitled “‘They’re dominating media institutions’: The No Kings movement just got a lot bigger, and Trump should be terrified.”

The thrust of the article is that the No Kings movement, the people behind the massive anti-Dump protest on October 18, of which I proudly participated in, is officially rolling out a nationwide response network that’s going to call on supporters to take new actions every single week. Boy, will this fascistic president be shitting in his Depends over this! The leaders of the movement told The Guardian there’s serious energy for “some type of disruption,” and they’re not messing around.

Future actions could include targeted boycotts, campaigns at universities, more street protests, and electoral organizing in local communities. This is huge news, and it signals the era of passive opposition is positively over, as one organizer put it, “The No Kings era is here, and it’s defined by widespread mass defiance of this regime.”

The sheer scale of this turnout is what should have the administration quaking. Tens of thousands of people like myself joined a national call earlier this week just to hear what’s next for the growing resistance. I emailed Indivisible just today to volunteer my skills to the organization and to receive communiques about what the next steps will be. “This broad showing is a big deal because it proves just how much opposition to Trump there is in every single corner of the U.S.”

The idea of a general strike is also on the table, and it’s one that has some serious top-tier support. Chicago’s mayor, Brandon Johnson, brought up the idea at his city’s rally, and labor leaders like the United Auto Workers president, Shawn Fain, and the Association of Flight Attendants counterpart, Sara Nelson, have both called for it.

The cofounder of Indivisible, Ezra Klein, said, “No successful antiauthoritarian movement in the history of the world has relied exclusively on one-day protests, even historic, incredible life-giving one-day protests like Saturday. Successful movements grow, they evolve, they diversify their tactics, and they do new things together. There are going to be big mobilizations in our future, but before that, there’s going to be overreach from this regime. We’re seeing it with our own eyes. They’re dominating media institutions, they’re dominating universities. They’re bullying businesses and political opponents, and we need to coordinate a way to respond quickly and powerfully with the full force of this movement. The era of capitulation and obey ion advance, that’s over.”

Some of the targets that this movement could be focusing on could be corporations or institutions that support the despicable MAGA platform. (By the way, I saw a wonderful sign this past Saturday in which the acronym was given a new identity as “MAGA = Morons Are Governing America.”) Other places of commerce like sports arenas could also be targeted to disrupt the flow of capital.

This is the only piece of good news I’ve heard about since the Orange Tyrant took office in January. Let’s show this corrupt regime the true power of the people.

Tomorrow I will probably be AWOL from here again since Elliot and I have invited this time our thirtyish friend “Taylor” over for dinner. He is the fiancé of our adopted niece, “Rebecca,” and we have cultivated his friendship ever since he entered our lives several years ago at our friends’ house in Easton, Pennsylvania, some Christmases past.

Today is Sunday, October 19, 2025. A day after one of the most peaceful protests was held in these here United States to demonstrate against the Godawful Dump administration, MAGA Mike showed his true despicable colors by double downing on the “No Kings” rally, declaring the widely peaceful demonstrations were evidence of “a rise of Marxism in the Democratic Party.” Is this secret pedophile serious? Is he smoking crack? What a fucking thing to say about these protests that went on without much ado in every state of the union. This absurd, clownish criticism of the rally appears in an online article for Politico entitled “Speaker Johnson doubles down on ‘No Kings’ criticism following demonstrations nationwide,” by Cheyanne M. Daniels.

In an interview with ABC News’ Jonathan Karl on “This Week,” the Louisiana Republican said the protests were “political cover” for Democrats as the government shutdown continues. This does not compute and doesn’t even make sense. What did this asshole mean about these protests providing “political cover” for Democrats? Especially when it is truly the fault of Republicans for the third-longest shutdown, not Democrats.

Here is what this fascist Speaker thought was offensive during the nationwide protests in over 2,500 locations throughout the country: “I mean, we have video and photos of pretty violent rhetoric calling out [does this fucker realize that Dump is the principal source of the most vile rhetoric in his horrible political career for the past 9 years now?] the president, saying fascists [not that he would ever admit that the Republican Party is now the Fascist Party] must die and all the rest.” Again, Fucker Johnson, there is no violence here, these are words; but your entire party should know how injurious these words could be since your party engages in name calling and far worse for the longest of time!]

When Fucker Johnson was pressed as to his earlier vile comments decrying Democrats as anarchists, Antifa, and pro-Hamas, he defended his remarks rather than offering an apology to highlight his humanity. But he’s not, folks, human, I mean!

He now attempted to walk away from his all-generalizing comments regarding the composition of the Democratic Party, saying, “I never said it was the whole Democratic Party [but he did, folks; this is a lie], but you and I have to acknowledge the reality,” which means he was singling out New York City’s Democratic candidate Zohran Mamdani, who is a Democratic socialist. But here, Johnson and the rest of his party cannot even define what a Marxist or a socialist is, so he labels Mamdani “an open socialist Marxist.” Mamdani has previously stated he is not a “communist,” as Dump and his party have called him. He does identify as a democratic socialist and not as a communist. So this puts a pin in Fucker Johnson’s argument about the candidate identifying as a communist.

He then offered a very spurious explanation as to why the Supreme Leader should not be called a king. He stated, “If President Trump was a king, the government would be open right now. If President Trump was a king, they would not have been able to engage in that free speech exercise on the (National) Mall,” Johnson stated. Don’t give us any favors here, Fucker Johnson, in even giving King Drumpf any ideas as to declaring mass rallies illegal since there’s always time to do this. I cannot bear this man and wish him to disappear.

A day after the largest mass demonstration in U.S. history flooded the nation’s streets and thoroughfares, this deranged president’s response to peaceful opposition to his unlawful policies was to post an AI video of himself as a bomber pilot [is that hilarious!} dropping what appears to be feces on protesters below. Huh? Is this an educated, articulate response to what just happened yesterday? Thus this sickening clip is covered in a People online article entitled “President Trump Fires Back at ‘No Kings Day’ by Posting AI Video of Himself Bombing Protesters with Brown Liquid,” by Escher Walcott.

The video shows the idiot dumping brown sludge, or – to be more frank – shit, if you will, on protesters in response to their participation in the “No Kings” rallies. In the fake clip, the president is seen wearing a crown while sitting in a fighter jet marked “King Trump.” He is then seen flying over large crowds of demonstrators and dumping brown liquid on them in what appears to be Times Square in New York City.

Does anyone think this is a measured, intelligent response by a President of the United States to criticism lodged at him by millions of disgruntled Americans? No, it’s actually sickening! To me, this is the work of a fevered, adolescent brain. Also, this offensive video truly shows how this president is hugely disdainful of millions of Americans. This is the true “Hate America” personification of what Fucker Johnson was talking about right before the rallies took place. A president who truly hates his constituents. And that is why millions of us demonstrated yesterday to drive home that message!

Tomorrow is Elliot’s birthday, so we have a full day planned to honor that occasion. We hope to finally see the new Leonardo DiCaprio film, One Battle After Another. For breakfast, we intend to enjoy a genuinely Jewish-flavored breakfast at Russ & Daughters, on Orchard Street. Then Elliot – depending on the weather – would like to walk around his old neighborhood on the Lower East Side. Thus I will not post anything tomorrow. I’ll see you on Tuesday.

Today is Wednesday, October 15, 2025. In just three days, the nation will rise up in massive protests throughout the land to demonstrate against the sliding authoritarianism being practiced by the current regime led by the Orange Idiot. Today I went to a local hardware store on Metropolitan Avenue to buy paint stirrers to use as handles on my protest signs. Today an online article for Who What Why, written by Klaus Marre, covers how the fascist party, formerly known as the Republican Party, views these protests and it is called “Republicans Are Terrified of the ‘No Kings’ Mass Protest.”

Though the article states that the Republican Party may not have been committed authoritarians themselves before Trump 2.0, “these Republicans are now accessories to upending American democracy.”

“And the one thing authoritarians fear more than anything else is that the people rise up against them, because, while they may control all of the levers of power, there is a strength in numbers that they can only match with excessive violence.”

This explains why repugnicans are so worried about the “No Kings” demonstrations that are scheduled for this Saturday and are expected to draw millions of participants in more than 2,000 separate events.

To counteract what may turn out to be a record-breaking protest, they have settled on the talking point that this will be a “hate America” rally. This type of garbage is being peddled by that hidden pedophile in the House, House Speaker MAGA Johnson, who is Dump’s personal toady. This is the actual shit that “Clark Kent”ish Johnson spewed out and it should be condemned by rational people everywhere: “We call it the Hate America Rally that will happen Saturday. Let’s see who shows up for that. I bet you’ll see Hamas supporters, I bet you’ll see the Marxists on full display, the people who don’t want to stand and defend the foundational truths of this republic.”

Here of course, Johnson has no fucking idea on what this country is founded on: people coming together to peacefully protest a monarch (in this case, Dictator Don), and exercise their First Amendment rights.

The plan that these ugly repugnicans is pursuing is to pretend that the people attending the protests will be a bunch of radicals hellbent on destroying the country. How can they dismiss then millions of disgruntled Americans who take to the streets to protest this harsh administration.

To help counteract this alternate vision of these protests, it’s important that demonstrators this Saturday not commit any violent acts or destroy any property. Because it’s these repugnicans who truly do hope that violence and chaos erupts on Saturday, but I strongly believe that this won’t happen. All of the demonstrations I attended here in New York were extremely peaceful.

The article ends with detailing what a true “Hate America” really looks like: It occurred on January 6, 2021, during Donald Chump’s first administration.

And if you still believe this rotten party isn’t a fascist party, a new scandal is swirling through the repugnican party involving 2,900 pages of chats between leaders of Young Republican groups in which members of the group chat spoke freely about “the love of Nazis within their party’s right wing,” which is actually an accurate observation. As the chat’s contacts were leaked, it was discovered that members referred to Black people as “monkeys” and “the watermelon people,” all the while musing about putting their political opponents in gas chambers. They talked about raping their enemies and driving them to suicide and lauded Republicans who they believed support slavery.

Confronted with this ghastly scandal, the repulsive person known as JD Vance did not just condemn the texts as racist and violent, his first instinct was to downplay the imbroglio and go after a Democrat. He went after Virginia’s Jay Jones, the Democratic nominee for state attorney general this year, for sending violent texts in 2022. If this were true, those texts first appeared three years ago, not today, with the publication of these vile texts written by young Republicans in their 30s and currently working for elected officials, ostensibly serving the public. These were not random high school or college students exchanging silly, male bravado in hugely offensive texts. These could be future elected officials – hope not!

Vance’s fucking weak response to this scandal just illustrates how bad he would be as president also if the Orange Guy ever leaves the public stage. Boy, are we fucked!

Today is Thursday, October 9, 2025. Today is another sad day of mourning in America, as the Orange Turd ratcheted up his campaign of terrorism against his political adversaries by now indicting New York Attorney General Letitia James on – forgive the pun – trumped-up charges, which should outrage every American again, as this is now the second person indicted under Dictator Don’s vengeance campaign. The first was former FBI Director James B. Comey the other day. This sad story is offered in a CNN online article by Kristen Holmes, Hannah Rabinowitz, and Kara Scannell entitled “Letitia James, the New York attorney general who defeated Trump in court, indicted by Justice Department.” The sorry details follow below.

Ms. James was indicted today in Alexandria, Virginia, allegedly on charges of mortgage fraud. She has been under investigation since May over a 2023 mortgage she took out to buy a home in Norfolk, Virginia.

The grand jury returned two felony charges: bank fraud and making false statements to a financial institution. Her first court appearance is scheduled for October 24 in Norfolk.

Comey has already pleaded not guilty yesterday to allegedly making a false statement in a congressional proceeding. Naturally, this Orange Turd has others on his political “hit list,” and they include former Chump national security adviser John Bolton and California Democratic Senator Adam Schiff, plus others.

James herself had choice words for this pointless indictment: “These charges are baseless, and the president’s own public statements make clear that his only goal is political retribution at any cost.” She added, “The president’s actions are a grave violation of our Constitutional order and have drawn sharp criticism from members of both parties.”

As you must know, James’ relationship with the Orange Menace has been adversarial for years as she campaigned on promises to investigate Dictator Don and ultimately won a civil fraud case against the Manhattan real estate “mogul,” his adult sons, and his real estate business. A judge found them liable for fraud for inflating the value of their properties and ordered Dump to pay $355 million in penalties.

Unfortunately, a New York appeals court tossed the penalties (which I had forgotten) and Dump has appealed the verdict. So what the fuck is he still angry about? That a Black woman bested him in court? That’s the true reason.

During the 11-week trial, Dump’s anger toward James was very palpable. He railed against her in the courthouse hallways and from the witness stand. Drumpf testified as James sat across from him in the courtroom galley.

However, last month CNN reported that Justice Department prosecutors in Virginia, led at the time by Erik Seibert, interviewed dozens of witnesses and did not believe they gathered enough evidence to support criminal charges against James.

Get this? That prosecutor Erik Seibert resigned after he was pressured by the Orange Turd to bring charges against his political foe, Letitia James. He was then replaced by the most unqualified, incompetent former personal attorney of Dump, Lindsey Halligan, who was raked over the coals last night by Lawrence O’Donnell on his show for her glaring lack of knowledge regarding the law.

This idiot said in a statement, “No one is above the law [rich thing for her to say when she should really be looking in the direction of the person sitting in the White House]. The charges as alleged in this case represent intentional, criminal acts and tremendous breaches of the public’s trust.” She added, “The facts and the law in this case are clear, and we will continue following them to ensure that justice is served.” Pure bullshit, in my opinion.

As for those allegations, her lawyers provided a document to the Justice Department in April to push back on what they called “threadbare” charges.

They said that one document in the mortgage application “mistakenly” said the property would be James’s primary residence. But they submitted other documents to argue there was no fraud. James actually checked a box on her mortgage application that indicated the property would not be her primary residence. So these “allegations” seem just as false as the ones attributed to James Comey.

I’ve seen pictures of this Lindsey Halligan who is the prosecutor in this case and she looks like the beauty queen contestant that she actually was before getting her law degree at the University of Phoenix. Actually, she didn’t go there. I was just teasing you. She has never prosecuted a case before getting this high-profile case, and James’s attorneys will shred her to pieces if it ever goes to trial. It will be a resounding humiliation for the man in the White House, that’s for sure!

These new developments in the politicization of the Justice Department will sadly continue until there is pushback against this bastard in the White House from members in Congress, and I still don’t see anything remotely approaching that kind of resistance. That is why we the people must resist this perverted regime – on the streets and in the courts.

If this is not an authoritarian regime operating in America at the moment, then I don’t know what else to call it!

In the meantime, Attorney General Pam Bondi and many others are protecting this pedophile in the White House, refusing to release the Epstein files. What is this House afraid of then?

Today I got my latest COVID booster at CVS around 2:45 p.m. So far, I have no side effects from the inoculation.

Also, our television guy “Ernest” returned for one last time to restore my streaming services to the Sony which took as long as 2 hours since I had to reregister for many of the services, and I had quite a few problems with inputting my data, including email and passwords for several of the apps. Ernest actually had to calm me down when the process didn’t work. Don’t you hate it when there is such an extra layer of security involved with getting anything these days? Like when you are told a code will be sent to your phone or email and you have to rush to get that code before it expires and before you have to do it again. I was losing the screen with the code and the screen where you had to register, so Ernest had to intervene and show me the proper way to do it. But now I believe I have all of the apps that existed on the set before. Ernest also helped Elliot erase over thousands of emails which he never deleted over an extended length of time. That took time also.

Today is Friday, October 3, 2025. As the world wrestles with the scumbag known as Donald J. Dump’s declining health and mental acuity, one online article truly paints a very vulnerable despot on AlterNet by Lesley Abravanel entitled “‘Never seen the president this scared’: correspondent unmasks ‘maniacal’ Trump.”

That White House correspondent is seasoned journalist Brian Karem, who has covered president Donald Chump full-time since 2016, says in a piece for Salon that he’s “never seen the president this scared.”

Karem, who has covered every presidential administration since Ronald Reagan, “sued Donald Trump three times successfully to keep his press pass,” he says in his bio.

Though he had a front-row seat to “the carnage” of Dump’s first term, this time around, it’s different, Karem writes, noting Dump is playing the “victim.”

The president’s actions, Karem says, are “those of a despot trying to seize power.” The White House correspondent pointed to Dump’s demand for the military to use American cities as training grounds for the U.S. military and his proliferation of ICE agents who beat and detain American citizens.

Karem adds here, “Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, Trump’s dog of war, has instituted some of the most racist regulations seen in the military since it was integrated nearly 80 years ago.”

The seasoned pro sees a deeper reason for why Dump is acting more maniacal lately.

“He is the proverbial New York sewer rat, cornered and lashing out in a desperate attempt to survive. He also knows he is becoming more vulnerable. But it’s not just his own mortality, shrinking mental acuity and the Jeffrey Epstein case that is scaring him,” Karem states.

Karem feels what is setting Dictator Don off like “a wild animal with its leg caught in a trap” is his 2023 indictment on 37 felony counts stemming from a nonpartisan FBI raid on Mar-a-Lago that turned up classified documents. Remember that case, folks? I sure haven’t forgotten and neither has he!

Karem writes about the case, “He’s apparently still so worried about the case that he’s trying to put up costly roadblocks against someone who has only a chance of getting the information revealed.” Look, someone even revealed that horrible impending “Extreme” Court ruling knocking down Roe v. Wade in June 2022. So there’s someone out there with a vendetta against this subhuman who can do the same thing regarding his 2023 indictment.

Karem writes, “Trump’s fear is palpable, and like a New York sewer rat, that’s when he’s at his most dangerous.”

The White House correspondent further notes Dump has a “desire for total control before he loses all command of his mental and physical health.” Which couldn’t come any sooner in my opinion.

Meanwhile, while all of this is going on, Vice President JD Vance, nicknamed the “Maybelline Mascara Man” by a staffer from Forest Hills Indivisible, is waiting eagerly in the wings, having proven he “is capable of pinch hitting for the sultan of political swat.”

According to a source close to Dictator Don, “there is a growing fear that someone in his own inner-circle may whisper the words ’25th Amendment,’ end the Dump presidency, and usher in the ‘The Age of Ultron’ – I mean Vance. That, more than anything else, has Puff Donny scared,” Karem posits. This is not so infeasible since a good swath of the American public is now disliking Republicans more than Democrats for the government shutdown and if things get worse, which they certainly will, someone could come out of the shadows and more than whisper the 25th Amendment, they could shout it. And we are then stuck with the Maybelline Mascara Man until 2028. Which could be worse than having buffoonish Demented Don until that time, but I don’t think so. Vance will not have the almost slavish support of MAGA like this clown did.

You must love MSNBC news host Lawrence O’Donnell who is the lone man of outrage when it comes to criticizing Demented Don’s lack of mental acuity. He consistently goes on the warpath against the legacy press for its lack of outrage over what he calls Dictator Don’s “publicly flaring madness” this week.

In another online article this time for MediaITE, Tommy Christopher writes “MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell Rages At Press ‘Sleeping’ Through Trump’s ‘Publicly Flaring Madness.'”

If you ever watch O’Donnell, you know he calls Demented Don the stupidest president every chance he gets. He has consistently called out Trump’s growing incapacity, growing to a crescendo this week amid a series of escalating stumbles, a speech to military leaders that was cringeworthy, and social media antics around the government shutdown.

On Wednesday’s edition of MSNBC’s The Last Word, the host trained his journalistic eye on The New York Times over an editorial that insufficiently assessed Dump’s “insanity” and a Washington press corps that is “sleeping” through Little Donnie’s “madness.”

O’Donnell made light of The Times’ characterization of Dump’s “bombastic tweets” immediately following the government shutdown which this pathological liar blamed on the Democrats and which he threatened to fire thousands of federal workers if Democrats did not provide the votes to keep the government open. He felt these tweets were not just “bombastic,” they were really insane.

Then O’Donnell provided a video clip of Rep. Madeline Dean (D-PA) confronting the lapdog of Dump, House Speaker MAGA Johnson, about how unhinged and unwell the damn president is. Then the following fucking admission was made by this false Christian in the House Speakership when he said, “A lot on your side, too.” Here is the Speaker actually admitting that the Supreme Leader is indeed unwell, and all he can muster as a response to Dean’s accurate characterization of Donnie being unwell is that people on the Democratic side are unwell too. Fuck, who was he referring to here? .She should have pressed him on that weak and childish response. But she didn’t; however, we did get an admission of truth from the creepy House Speaker right here.

With this admission, O’Donnell called MAGA Johnson a “coward” and that “he has taken an oath of cowardice to Donald Trump.” Pretty strong words, you would say. O’Donnell added, “He’s not the Speaker of the House. He’s the Speaker of Trump in the House.” So true! It’s the entire repugnican party right now.

Then the veteran MSNBC host ridiculed the liberal newspaper for not stating the obvious about the president – that he’s losing it.

O’Donnell then mocked Vance and the White House for making the government shutdown funny, which will definitely not work in middle America. He talks about a video regarding a sombrero which I haven’t seen, but if the fucking White House released it with Vance’s imprimatur, then it is childish and stupid. This you would never see from any serious administration if the government ever shut down, but this is a very different White House. This is an insane White House and an abnormal one in every fucking way!

O’Donnell ends by scorching the Washington press corps for regarding the crisis at the White House as “business as usual.” He adds, “They have internalized Trump madness in their coverage. They have lost their ability to react to it, but their outrage will be fully revived if a Democratic candidate for president, or if a Democratic president ever says a single negative thing about any kind of American voters, ever, anywhere.” Ain’t that the truth! And Mr. O’Donnell shined a bright light on it on his show Wednesday night.

Today I resumed my usual eating schedule by going out for breakfast and drinking several cups of coffee. I’m amazed over how easily I can give up caffeine these days without experiencing any ill side effects. When I was younger, I had to wean myself off caffeine by drinking decaffeinated coffee a day or two before fasting. Now I can have one last cup of coffee on Wednesday evening and then just give up drinking the elixir for over 25 hours. And I thought it would be harder as I aged, but it isn’t. That’s good for me, I guess.

Tomorrow I might not be writing my blog since I could be traveling into the city with Elliot to first buy tickets for a New York Philharmonic concert on October 30 that showcases Alfred Hitchcock’s groundbreaking Psycho with the terrifying Bernard Hermann score being played by the world-famous orchestra on stage. I thought this seemed like a cool thing to do before Halloween. And for those who know about the genesis of this 1960 shocker, Netflix is now playing a series on the original inspiration for the film, Ed Gein. He served as the inspiration for Robert Bloch’s treatment of the gothic story in his book by the same name which was optioned by Sir Alfred Hitchcock who was looking for another property to put on the big screen. If I can, I would like to see the Netflix series if I can stomach it. What Gein did to his victims in rural La Crosse County, Wisconsin, never got on the screen in Psycho. I can’t repeat what he did then – it’s too horrible to imagine. Just watch the series and see for yourself and see why Gein was declared insane and remanded to a mental institution for the rest of his life. He died at the age of 77 at that mental institution in 1984.

And we might do something else afterward like see a film. I don’t know which yet.

Today is Monday, September 29, 2025. Back to a repeated yet necessary topic of discussion here, which is the delusional commander in chief who is collapsing in inchoate dementia right in front of America these days. An online opinion by former Secretary of Labor under former President Bill Clinton, Robert Reich, appears in Raw Story today entitled “This tipping point will bring Trump’s reign crashing down -and it’s close” outlines the insane things this pretender to the throne has done in just the last week.

Reich revels over the gigantic audience that watched Jimmy Kimmel’s monologue last week after he was reinstated to ABC by Disney. Apparently, over 6 million people watched Kimmel’s return to late-night television, whereas another 26 million watched it on social media, including YouTube. Kimmel’s ratings that night were a direct affront to the president’s false proclamation that his ratings were much lower than that.

Also, Dump’s dictatorial narcissism revealed itself nearly as dramatically in the criminal indictment of former FBI director James Comey, which comes directly after Chump fired the U.S. attorney who refused to indict him.

That dictatorial narcissism was evident in his directive to the drunkard Pete Hegseth, the new “Secretary of War,” to use “full force, if necessary” to “protect War [sic] ravaged Portland, Oregon” and any “ICE Facilities under siege from attack from Antifa, and other domestic terrorists.” All of this is pure bullshit, folks. This is pure fantasy arising from the warped mind of Dictator Don. There is no concerted effort from Antifa to sow violence in Portland, Oregon. It’s another distraction from not releasing the Epstein files.

There was also his crazy speech to the United Nations telling delegates that their nations are “going to hell.” What a surefire way to win allies, you must say. Then there is his much-ballyhooed press conference with quack Dr. Oz and brain-worm HHS secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. in which it was announced that Tylenol is the cause of childhood autism, even though there is no damn scientific proof of this. As a result, the makers of Tylenol should sue the hell out of Dump’s government as a result of this massive smear.

Because of these measures, Dump’s approval ratings continue to drop precipitously.

Reich writes, “Voters are turning against him and his Republican Party.”

Amidst all of this chaos brought on by Dump and his stupid minions, a government shutdown is looming. This time I support Democrats not playing hardball with their fascist colleagues since these ugly repugnicans refuse to agree to extending Affordable Care Act subsidies which are now set to expire at the end of the year and to cause 24 million people to lose coverage or pay skyrocketing premiums. Therefore, there can be no compromise with these cruel members in Congress, folks. We will have to sustain some hardship now in order to show Dump and his useless cabinet that we are not capitulating – like we always sadly do at the final hour.

The former labor secretary doesn’t know exactly when there will come a tipping point when elected repugnicans will actually rebel against him or when his dementia will become so apparent that he’s forced to resign or when much of the country rises up against his dictatorship that he’s impeached and convicted of high crimes – which I find more unreasonable as time wears on, but you never know the fury of the American electorate when they realize they’ve been conned all these many years by a consummate charlatan. Reich believes that that point is coming ever closer, though.

In conclusion, Reich believes that the nation’s activism is working and believes “the slumbering giant of America” will be reawakening soon. He feels it’s about to stand and is angry. “Soon he will roar.”

Tomorrow Elliot and I are having dinner with my Manhattan cousins, “Rivka” and “Dillon.” We’re meeting them at 7 at a restaurant on 79th Street, so I doubt I’ll be writing this blog since we usually spend a good three hours or more chatting up a storm. I haven’t seen them in several months, not since they went to Mexico in late August. We haven’t seen them since July, I believe.

I just remembered: Wednesday marks Yom Kippur Eve, so I won’t be here either. I’m traveling to Jersey City to participate in evening services at Elliot’s late aunt’s synagogue on John F. Kennedy Boulevard. We won’t drive; it’s easier to take mass transit. This is the first time I won’t be attending Kol Nidre services at the Jacob Javits Center. Oh well, life is change! Something we should all embrace.

Today is Saturday, September 20, 2025. The extent of this current regime’s corruption seemingly knows no bounds as it has been reported today by news media that White House border “czar” Tom Homan accepted $50,000 in bribes from undercover FBI agents, but that this felon’s partisan-inclined Department of Justice just shut down the entire case claiming the matter was fueled by the “deep state,” which is anything that is actually critical of the Orange Buffoon in the White House. An article online for MSNBC entitled “Tom Homan was investigated for accepting $50,000 from undercover FBI agents. Trump’s DOJ shut it down,” by Carol Leonnig and Ken Dilanian explores this newest scandal set to engulf the current administration.

According to credible sources, it appears that Homan was recorded by the FBI accepting $50,000 in cash after indicating he could help the agents who were posing as business executives win government contracts in a second Chump administration, according to multiple people familiar with the probe and internal documents reviewed by MSNBC.

The FBI and the Justice Department planned to wait to see whether Homan would deliver on his alleged promise once he became the nation’s top immigration official. But the case indefinitely stalled after Dump became president again in January, according to six sources familiar with the matter. In recent weeks, Dump appointees officially closed the investigation, after FBI Director Kash Patel requested a status update on the probe, two of the people said.

Undercover FBI agents posing as contractors communicated and met several times last summer with a business colleague who introduced them to Homan, and with Homan himself, who indicated he would facilitate securing contracts for them in exchange for money once he was in office, according to documents and the people familiar with the case.

On September 20, 2024, with hidden cameras recording the scene at a meeting spot in Texas, Homan accepted $50,000 in bills, according to an internal summary of the case and sources.

No further investigative steps were taken by FBI agents and Justice Department prosecutors in the final months of 2024, the people said, and were expected to keep monitoring Homan to determine if he landed an official role and would make good on steering contracts in a future Dump administration.

At the time when Homan was caught in the FBI sting, he was president and owner of a private consulting business that said it could help companies in the border security industry win government contracts.

At the National Conservatism Conference in July 2024, Homan promised he would run the biggest deportation operation this country has ever seen if Dump returns to the White House in January – which he did, of course.

Several FBI and Justice officials believed that they had a strong case against Homan for conspiracy to commit bribery based on recording him accepting cash and his apparent promise to assist with contracts, according to four people familiar with the probe. But he was not charged since he was not a public official then and Dump was not president at the time he accepted money in the FBI’s undercover sting, so his actions didn’t clearly fit under a standard bribery charge.

When asked about these potential charges against Homan, legal experts said that a person who promises to influence federal contracts when they become a public official can’t be charged under the federal bribery statutes until they are named or appointed to such a post. Now that Homan has ascended to the immigration throne, he could find himself in hot water with the feds if he reaffirms his promise or communicates in some way about his plan to deliver on his agreement. Only time will tell. However, now that Patel and the Justice Department are in the pocket of Dump, it doesn’t seem likely that an independent investigation of Homan would ever be facilitated anytime soon. This won’t be the first time that a presidential cabinet contained accused miscreants, but this is the only one in which an entire cabinet is practically composed of them.

The good news emanating from the Jimmy Kimmel debacle is that the Disney Corporation (the backers behind ABC the station that let Kimmel go because of an allegedly anti-Charlie Kirk remark, which was ridiculous altogether) has lost $3.5 billion in just days. This was posted on my Instagram feed. It appears that people are canceling Disney cruises, Disney vacations, and even their subscription to the Disney channel. Sheesh, and I just took a Disney cruise in July. This flagrant attack on free speech must be fought with every ounce of our being.

Today Elliot and I enjoyed the company of two of our Austin Street Diner breakfasters at “Rachel’s” house right here in Forest Hills. She invited three of us to her lovely apartment on Yellowstone Boulevard for lunch at 12. She served us lox, bagels, chicken and egg salad, and coffee. The other person at this get-together was “”Hannah.” We stayed for almost three hours. There was a lot of jollity and some heavy baring of family secrets at the dinner table. Before leaving, we said we’d have everyone over to our place to reciprocate.

Earlier, we were visited by “Ernest,” the tech expert who came to look at the nonfunctioning television set in the living room. I tried to call him two days ago but couldn’t connect for some reason, so I went into Foodtown where he works and asked if I could leave him a message. I subsequently learned that his cell phone dropped out of his pants on the subway and was snatched by some petty thief. So my calls were just going to voicemail initially.

So Earnest entered the apartment right before we intended to leave for Rachel’s house, which was close to 11. He stayed for several minutes to gauge the situation. He claimed that the problem stemmed from faulty wiring and he said he would return to take the TV and come back with proper wiring. Thus far, he hasn’t returned. He did say he was going to other peoples’ houses in the evening, so I should just wait and see.

I now just received a message from Ernest in which he stated he is stuck in traffic and will come instead on Monday. I hope the elevator will be operating later that day. Also we won’t be home on Tuesday since we’re driving down to my friend “Harold’s” house to stay for Rosh Hashanah. I hope he can complete the job in one day, but I won’t be that optimistic that he could. This might take several days.
